Steven's POV:

I throw my bag against the wall in my room and put on my headphones. I guess I'll listen to some music or something before dinner. I can play a game too. A knock in my room door causes me to sigh and take of my headphones. ''Can I come in Steven?'' My mom asks. ''Yeah.'' I say as I put my headphones down. My mom opens my room door and walks in. At least she knocks. ''I got some mail with your name on it. Were you expecting any mail?'' My mom asks. She is holding an old looking envelope. I frown and shake my head. ''No, can I see it?'' I say. My mother nods and walks over to me to hand me the letter.

I turn the letter around in my hands a few times to look at all of it. There is a dark red seal on the back of the letter. ''Well, open it.'' My mom says as she sits down on my bed and gestures to my hand. I nod and carefully break the ancient looking seal on the back of the letter.

I lower the letter. What the hell is this rubbish? ''Well, what did it say?'' my mother asks. I shrug and hand her the letter. ''I think its rubbish.'' I say as I stand up from my computer chair and stretch before sitting down on the bed next to my mom.

''This doesn't make any sense.'' My mother says. ''What kind of bloody satanic group is this from. Are you getting acquainted with the wrong kind of people?!'' My mother exclaims loudly as she jumps up from my bed. ''What?! Of course not! And what's with the again part!'' I yell. ''Don't yell at me!'' My mother yells. ''You started!'' I yell back. A sudden stinging pain in my cheek. My mother with her hand in the air. I touch my cheek. ''You just slapped me?'' I say more as a question. I hear my mother panting. ''You need to learn your place.'' Is the last thing she says before ripping apart the letter and throwing it on the ground. ''Why did you-'' ''Learn. Your. Place.'' My mom says before storming out of my room.

I fall down on the floor and feel tears stinging behind my eye. No, I'm not going to cry. I brush some hair out of my eyes and scramble to the ground to pick up the ripped pieces of the letter. I've never hoped something was more true than this.

A few minutes later I'm sitting at my desk with an almost completely put together letter when suddenly the door bell rings. ''Steven, get the door!'' I hear my dad yell from downstairs. I sigh and rush down the stairs to open the door. As soon as I open the door I get greeted by a tall woman with short white blond hair and icy blue eyes. ''Greetings, my name is Sarah Nimvea. Can I come in?'' The woman her voice sounds like the one of an angel. ''Of course.'' I say as I step aside. Wait, why did I let her in? ''Thank you.'' She says as she walks past me to enter my house.

I close the door behind her and follow her to the living room. ''Steven, who was tha...why is this strange woman in our house.'' My father says as he places down the paper and gets up from his chair. Immediately my mother comes running from the kitchen. ''Steven why did you let this woman in?'' My mother shrieks. ''Hello, my name is Sarah Nimvea. I am the head of the Ravenclaw house at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. I am here to explain the letter to you and your child.'' Sarah says. As in a trance my father and mother both sit down.
