Kevin's POV:
I take my seat across from Patrick as I enter our cubical. It's not like I've known him for that long, we met at the train station, but it feels like we've been friends for way longer than that. ''Did you tell 'm to shut up?'' Patrick asks. He's playing a game on his phone and doesn't even bother to look at me. ''Yeah.'' I say as I search my back for some food. We both changed not too long after the train left the station. Just so we could get to the changing rooms before everyone else would. ''So, you're muggle born right?'' I ask as I grab a small bag of bread out of my back and start opening it. ''Sort of, my grandpa's a wizard. But my mom and dad aren't.'' Patrick says. He closes his, phone sits back in his chair and looks at me.
''You're mom's a wizard yeah?'' I nod. ''Yeah, but she doesn't really like using magic.'' I take a bite of my bread, Patrick sighs. ''That's lame. My grandpa uses it all the time.'' He closes his eyes and lays down on the bench. ''How long till we get there?'' He asks. I look out the window. It's around 5 pm now. ''The ticket said we would arrive before 6 pm. So I don't think it will take much longer.'' I say as I grab my phone from my pocket and plug in one of my earphones. ''Do you think they'll have wifi at Hogwarts?'' Patrick asks. I look up from my playlist. ''Possibly. But I doubt it for some reason. Internet is more something for the muggle world. Wizards prefer books.'' I say. Patrick nods and closes his eyes.
''I'm gonna take a nap. Can you wake me when we get there?'' He asks. I nod, but answer him a few seconds later when I realize he can't see me. ''Good...hey Kevin.'' ''Yeah?'' I ask as I take out the earphone I just plugged in. ''What house do you think you'll be in?'' Patrick asks. I look at him. His eyes are still closed. ''I'm not sure. My mother hopes I'll get sorted into Ravenclaw like her. But it doesn't really matter that much to me to be honest. How about you?'' Patrick sighs. ''My grandpa was a Gryffindor.'' Patrick says. ''But I don't care what they sort me into.''

Patrick's POV:
I get awoken by someone shaking me up and down. ''Patrick for fucks sake will you finally get up already.'' ''What.'' I slowly open my eyes and rub some sleep out of them. ''Oh thank god, now get up.'' I look straight at the worried face of Kevin. ''What's wrong?'' I ask as I swing my legs over the side of the bench and slowly get up. ''We're here, and because of your sleeping habits, we're late.'' Kevin says as he hits me on the back of the head and starts heading out the cubical of our train.
Once we finally leave the train we can already see a large group of people dressed in robes waiting on the platform. ''Do you see that big guy over there too?'' Kevin asks as he nudges my arm. I look around, everything's still a bit blurry since I just woke up but i can see the person Kevin was referring to. Not too far from us a giant man with a lot of brown hair with gray streaks is waving and point in certain directions. ''First years! Follow me! All he other students, head to the carriages!'' He yells. He repeats it multiple times till the platform is relatively empty. I assume the only ones left are the first years.
''Look those three kids we're the ones making so much noise.'' Kevin says as he points over at a group of three people standing a few feet to our right. I can't see them very well cause it's quite dark out already but I can still make out a few things. Like the fact that 'they' are two girls and one guy. And that the two girls are quite short. ''Great information.'' I say as I look away. I can barely see anything so I give up trying. ''First years! I know it must all be quite scary for ya'll! But don't worry! I'll lead you through the first part! When we get to the castle, you'll be on your own! No remember to stay out of trouble! And be good alright! My name is Rubeus Hagrid! I'm the groundskeeper of Hogwarts and I teach care of magical creatures! Now follow me to the boats and we'll get to the castle in no time!''
After the big guy gave us our introduction he starts making his way over to the lake besides the platform.
~At 'ze boats~
Amanda's POV:
I walk arm in arm with Ellagrace as we follow professor Hagrid to the boats. Behind me I hear Steven and Elric talking excitedly. We met these two guys after they sat with us in the train. Since Steven and Ellagrace are both muggle born, Elric and I promised to look out for them and help them understand everything that's happening. ''I don't like boats.'' Ellagrace mutters besides me. ''Why not?'' Elric asks as he sticks his head between ours. "Because my only experience with them so far in my life was falling out of every single boat I ever entered.'' She answers. I chuckle. She's right. Ella does seem to have some bad luck when it comes to boats.
"Oh come on Ella, it'll be fun I promise.'' I say as I squeeze her arm. Ellagrace smiles at me. ''If you say so.'' She mutters.
Not that much later we finally arrive at the boats. Professor Hagrid gets in the first boat we see. Everyone looks confused as he starts drifting of but soon a bunch of other boats appear on the shore. I take Ella's arm and pull her over to one nearby. I can hear Steven and Elric following us.
''So, how are we gonna get them to the lake?'' Steven asks. We all sat down in the boat without thinking about that. Besides us we can see people pushing but no one seems to get the boat moving. ''Stop pushing kids! Just get in and let the magic happen!'' We hear Hagrid yell from the lake. A few kids seem skeptical but soon enough everyone enters the boats. The second the last person sat down in a boat all the boats magically start moving towards the water. ''This is amazing.'' Steven mutters. Elric laughs. ''I'm still afraid I'm going to fall out.'' Ellagrace says as she tightens her grip on my arm.
''Would you just look at that.'' Elric suddenly says. "At what?'' I ask. Elric smiles and points at the direction he was looking in. ''That.'' The three of us turn our head to see what he means. And it takes my breath away. Across the lake a huge castle looms. It's being lit up from bellow which gives it a breath taking look. ''Is that Hogwarts?'' Steven asks. ''I assume so.'' I say. ''Incredible.'' Ellagrace says.
Ellagrace's POV:
I can hear people gasping from the boats besides us. They all seem impressed by the large castle. ''I can't believe that's a school.'' I say. "It's beautiful isn't it.'' Elric says. I nod, but I don't think he sees it. He's too busy admiring the castle. ''I guess this is why the first years approach the castle with boats.'' Amanda says. I nod.
A sudden bell makes some of the students jump. I look around to find the source. Only to see it was Hagrid. ''Buckle up kids. We're going to dock soon!'' He yells. I immediately grip Amanda's arm again and stay still. ''What house do you guys think you'll be placed in?'' Elric suddenly asks. I shrug. ''I don't know much about it actually.'' ''I hope Gryffindor.'' Amanda says with a smile. ''W-What houses?'' Steven asks. He sounds really insecure for a second. ''Oh right, you don't know anything about that.'' Elric says. ''Well, you see, you get placed into a certain house when you first arrive at Hogwarts. You have to see this house as your home and as you family. It also says as few things about your personality.'' Elric explains.
''That sounds cool.'' Steven cuts him off. ''We're here!'' We hear Hagrid yell. A soon as he says it the shaking of our boat implies that we have reached the shore. ''I can't wait to be sorted.'' Amanda says. ''Me neither.'' Elric exclaims. ''Well let's get to the school quickly then! Come on! I want to see how it looks from the inside!'' Steven Yells as he grabs our arms and starts running towards the school. Other students follow after us. ''Wait! No! I wasn't done talking!'' Hagrid yells. No one stops. We're all way to excited to see what our future will bring. Even I am.
