''So, where are we going to buy these supplies?'' Ellagrace asks after I pulled her back inside and gave her something to drink. ''We buy supplies in, what's called, Diagon alley.'' Amanda's mother says as she places down some cookies in front of us. I happily take a cookie and look at Ellagrace. She looks confused, but happy. ''Okay, how do we get there?'' She asks. ''We're going to use the floo network.'' I say as I take another cookie. ''What's the floo network?'' Ellagrace asks. ''We travel by fireplace, it's really easy. I'll go first when it's time to go.'' I say. Ella nods.
''Is it time to go yet mum?!'' I ask as I turn around to face the dinner table where my mom is sitting. ''You gotta ask your dad sweetheart, I'm not coming remember.'' My mom says. I jump over the back of the couch. ''Alright, where's dad?'' I ask. ''In the garage I think.'' My mom says. "Okay!'' I say cheerfully before I skip over to the garage. ''Daddy, are we leaving yet? I wanna go shopping.'' I say. My father looks up from his work table. ''Sure, we can leave now.'' My father says as he grabs his wand off the table besides him and wipes some dust off his face. ''Have you explained to Ellagrace how the floo network works yet?'' My father asks. I shake my head. "No, I'll do that now.'' I say before turning around and running back into the living room.
I grab the list of supplies of the dinner table and pull Ellagrace of the couch. ''Where are we going?'' Ella asks. ''I'm going to explain the floo network to you.'' I say as I pull Ellagrace towards the fireplace near the corner of the room. ''You coming papa?!'' I yell. ''I'm coming Amanda, just explain th-'' ''The floo network, yeah yeah I got it.'' I push Ellagrace in front of the fire place and grab a little pot filled with dust, from the table next to it. ''Okay, so. You grab some dust out of this pot, you stand in the middle of the fire place. And then you say where you want to go.'' I say. ''But speak clearly.'' I add. ''Speaking clearly is very important.''
Ellagrace nods. ''Got it, so uhm...you're going first right?'' She asks. I smile and nod. ''Of course.'' I say. Suddenly my dad appears from around the corner. ''Are you girls ready to go?'' My father asks. I nod excitedly. ''Yes papa.'' I say. ''Yes, mister Summerson.'' Ellagrace says. ''Good, Amanda, why don't you go first so Ellagrace can see how it's like.'' Dad says. ''Yes, sir.'' I say as I skip over to the pot with dust and take a handful of it. ''Now, don't forget to speak clearly.'' My father says. ''Yeah yeah I know.'' I say. I step into the fireplace, lift my arm and throw down the dust. ''Diagon Alley!'' I yell just as the dust hits the ground. I get engulfed by green flames, when I open my eyes again I'm standing at the beginning of Diagon Alley.
I look behind me and take a step away when suddenly Ellagrace appear, couching her lungs out. ''Oh, sorry, I think I forgot to say you need to hold your breath.'' I say as I slowly dust off Ellagrace's pretty silver hair. Seconds later my father appears as well. "Come on girls, we're going to Ollivanders first.'' My dad says while he adjusts his coat and starts making a way through people to get us to Ollivanders.
''Hey Amanda, what is Ollivanders?'' Ellagrace whispers in my ear while we're making our way through tons of witches and wizards. ''Mum says that's where you buy your wand.'' I say with a huge smile on my face. I can't wait to get my wand. ''How do you do that? Do you just pick your wand and walk out?'' Ellagrace asks. I snort. ''Nooo of course not you dummy. You don't PICK your wand, your wand picks YOU.'' I say. I'm not looking at her but I can feel Ellagrace raising her eyebrow making me chuckle.
''There it is!'' I yell as I grab Ellagrace's arm and pull her over to the store. ''You two can go ahead and pick out your wand. I will get the books. Oh and Ellagrace, what are your sizes? I'll get your robes too.'' I smile and hug my dad. ''Thanks papa.'' I say before storming into the shop, leaving Ella to tell my dad her sizes.
A few seconds after I ran into the store Ellagrace follows. She looks around in awe. ''This is incredible.'' She whispers. I smile at her before walking over to the counter. ''Hello?'' I speak up while looking around. Suddenly a man mid fifty's jumps out from under the counter. When he sees us he smiles. ''So it was two after all. You two remind me of someone.'' The man says. I look at Ellagrace, she's is looking back at me with a confused expression on her face. ''Of who sir?'' I ask. The man brushes it off. ''Oh nothing, nothing, just the rambling of a middle-aged man that's all.'' The man says. I shrug it off but Ellagrace still seems interested.
