Chapter 3

Aiden was awakened by his alarm clock. He stood up and stretched. He realized that (y/n) doesn't lay on his bed. He ran to the bathroom, hoping that she is in the shower, but didn't hear water running.

"Shit!"

He ran outside and looked around. He was looking for any suspicious movement. He knew it would fail. His cell phone went off. Unknown number. Aiden answered.

"(y/n)!"
"No. Jordi. New number" Aiden sighed.
"What do you want, Jordi?"
"You already lost her?"
"Don't change the subject"
"I don't change the subject. I called to ask how she's doing. And because T-Bone want to speak to her"
"She's fine. She is already gone"
"Without saying anything?!" Aiden heard T-Bone in the background. He sighed and could guess that this was nothing for her.
"I couldn't keep her here forever"
"Why not? She can help you!" Jordi said.
"If she wanted it, then she had stayed here"

Aiden heard that T-Bone was angry. He told Aiden he must find her before Maurice does. Aiden didn't like it. He wanted to forget her. He rescued her as she wanted it and that was enough for him. He was not a babysitter. T-Bone yelled at him! He threatened to kill Aiden, as (y/n) was injured.

"Why is she so important to you?" Asked Aiden.
"Hasn't she told about her brother?"
"She did! He is co-founder of Dedsec"
"Aiden. There is a reason that her brother was murdered by Maurice "
"I only know that (name of brother) gave her to Maurice, so that they could stay in the apartment and nothing to pay"
"Then he told her nothing" said T-Bone.
"T-Bone. Stop withholding information and get to the point!"
"It is no coincidence that Maurice let (y/n) live. He can't kill her because she inherits Dedsec!" Aiden looked up. This can't be true! If this was true, he has let go an important link of Dedsec.
"What do you mean?" Asked Aiden.
"Her father and brother are two of the co-founders of Dedsec. But when her father was killed, (name of brother) took his place. He was depressed, and he could no longer concentrate on Dedsec. He was given a less important role. He got more time, whereby he could raise (y/n). But he has made a will, which enable that (y/n) would inherit Dedsec if he was killed or dies. He had no chance to tell her"
"How is that possible ?!" asked Aiden.
"I don't know! Ask Dedsec" Aiden growled. It was impossible that Dedsec would tell him. If they would call him, it's to command him to find her and protect her.
"Good. I will find her. But don't think that I'm going to play bodyguard for her!" Aiden said.
"Must not! Once she has the necessary stuff, she can protect herself. Believe me!"
"I believe you ... when I see it"

That was the last thing that was said. Aiden hung up and walked towards the center.

~ Time skip ~

It was half past one, when Aiden walked into the bar and sat down. Where should he start looking? She could be anywhere and she would probably avoid cameras. Aiden ordered a drink. He was called. Dedsec. Aiden answered.

"Spare me your scolding and tell me if it is true what T-Bone says about (y/n)"
"It is true" said a distorted but familiar voice. "Her father is one of them who came up with the idea. Probably because he didn't trust ctOS. (name of brother) was his assistant. May God have their souls"
"Yes, amen. Whatever! You also know where she is? Because if something happens to her, my life looks even worse than before"
"T-Bone's right. She is important. Find her and bring her to us"
"Two problems: I don't know where she is and I don't know where you are"
"Once you have her, we will call you and give you the necessary instructions. Where she can be, is your problem. Find her for Maurice find her!"

Aiden sighed and put his phone away.

"Easier said than done," muttered Aiden. He received a message from T-Bone.

'Dedsec called. You have to find her! I send a photo. Ask people if they've seen her'

Below the message was a picture of (y/n). The bartender came with his beer. Aiden paid and asked him if he had seen the woman in the photo. The man shook his head and Aiden thanked him. After his beer was out, he got up and left the cafe. Full reluctantly, he went along the arms trade business, clothing stores and other places where most hackers are. But everywhere he got the same answer. No one had seen her. Night fell and Aiden gradually gave up hope. He would never find her. Dedsec got on his nerves. On each screen, where he came over, came the same text.

Find her!

Aiden just wanted to get lying on his bed and forget everything. On the way to his motel room, he asked still people.

"You're the second person who asks this question today" said the man, who stood in the parking lot of the motel. Aiden petrified. He grabbed the man and pushed him against the wall behind him. Bystanders watched them.
"Who is the other one?" He asked.
"Easy, man. I don't know. He was here with three of his friends. He wanted her. He said it was his girlfriend, but I believed nothing of it!" Aiden showed a photograph of Maurice.
"That's him" the man said.
"What did you tell him?" Aiden sounded threatening and the man was afraid.
"I don't know where she is. Meanwhile hours passed, since he asked and now I know where she lives. Or stay"
"Address?!"
"She's staying with my sister, man!" Aiden let the man go and apologized. The man forced a smile and said he would bring him. They both got into the car of the man and drove towards the center.

"Sarah! Where are you?!"
"I'm coming!" From the kitchen came a woman and Aiden saw the similarities with the man.
"We have company. This is ..." The man looked at Aiden.
"I come for (y/n)" Aiden said.

Sarah looked at him. A sound from the bathroom, made Aiden jump into action. He stormed into the bathroom (talked about privacy*). The window was open. She had escaped. He looked out the window and saw her running down the fire escape.

"(y/n)" cried Aiden, but (y/n) didn't stop.
"Shit!" Aiden ran out of the bathroom, thanked the man and went downstairs. "(y/n)! Stay where you are!"

Aiden ran after her. To his great anxiety he saw a black car drove into the alley.

"(y/n)! behind you!" (y/n) looked behind her. The car blocked the way. She was trapped. Aiden cursed and ran to her. He hit the man down, who got out of the car and through that open door he shot the other. (y/n) her heart was pounding.

"What do they want from me?!"
"I'll tell you, once we are safe. Far from here!" Aiden pulled (y/n) in the car and drove away. He called T-Bone and told him that he found her.
"Come to me. She is safe here" Aiden took off.
"Why did you leave?"
"I'm not obliged to stay with you! Don't get it wrong, but I used you just to escape. And I helped you. So we're even. I just never thought I would get hurt"
"You went away without saying anything. You could at least leave a message"
"Fuck! What are you? My father?!"
"No. I'm just worried about you. And T-Bone also"
"You know T-Bone?"
"We are now going to him" (y/n) looked at Aiden.
"Thank You. For saving me "
"You're welcome"

(y/n) looked out the window. It remained silent for the rest of the ride.
