Daddy
took me to make some friends
in a
LGBT support group
"Hello child"
they seemed so big and scary
"What is
Your preferred name to go by?"
Kids laugh
when they hear my name the first time
"Sarah"
I lied to them
Dad found
oit that I wasn't going by my real name
"why do
you want to go by a different name?"
I yelled
and cried and told
my father
the truth about the bullies
He was
in the principles the next day
"Sorry"
was all they could say
Mommy
was nice and gave me some candy
but I
could only regret telling dad
The kids
have stopped making fun of my name
They even
started to be nicer to me
