James

The Great Hall was buzzing. The students and teachers were all excited for the Quidditch game which would be Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw. James Potter was making his way down the hall waving at members of his house and thanking people who wished him luck. He wanted to act confident to his fellow students so they wouldn't be worried, but really James was feeling a little nervous. After all it was the match that decided the winner and this year's Ravenclaw team was certainly going to be difficult to beat.

He spotted Sirius who was wearing his Quidditch robes and Remus and Peter who were both sporting Gryffindor colours. He walked over to them, not before his eyes scanned the table for a certain red head who was busy talking with her friends and didn't look up at him.

"Hey Prongs," Sirius greeted him while piling food onto his plate.

"Apparently McGonagall has bet 15 galleons on Gryffindor to win," said Moony.
"No pressure!" Wormtail said and James helped himself to some toast, trying to swallow down the lump in his throat.

"You'b be fine Brongs. The Ravenclawb keeber can't sabe and you're bone of the best chaser's in the school," encouraged Sirius through a mouthful of bacon and James laughed at how stupid he looked.

They finished their food then head down to the pitch where Moony and Wormtail left to the stands.

James adjusted his elbow pads as people wished them luck for the match.

"Hot redhead coming this way," said Sirius and he looked behind him where Lily was walking that way to get to the stands. She was wearing a red and gold badge and holding a little flag in her hand.

He looked back at Sirius who winked and left him.

James swaggered over to Evans who stopped talking and looked up at him. Her long auburn hair flowed over her shoulders and her bright emerald eyes were as beautiful as ever.

"Bye Lil," her friend said with a smirk.

James grinned down at her.

"Wish me luck Evans?" He said cockily with raised eyebrows and she beamed at him.

"Good luck Potter," she said softly, standing on her tip toes to give him a small kiss on the cheek.

James felt his jaw drop as he gaped at her, his skin still tingling where her lips touched.

Evans beamed at him and turned to catch up with her friend.

James just stood there with a stupid grin on his face.

"Good luck James," someone passing him said.

But he didn't need luck, he felt like the luckiest guy in the world.
