Chapter 02: "Arriving to Forks"

Mom came into my room and opened the curtains to let in sunlight into the room to wake me up. "[Name] dear, wake up! You are going to meet your dad and big sister today."

My eyes slowly opened and I tried to adjust to the sun beams passing through the curtains that just so happened to shine in my face conveniently. I slowly started to sit up in bed and place my feet to the floor to stand up and get ready. I went through my normal morning routine which is to brush my teeth, wash my face, and brush my hair.

I then proceed to walk down the stairs while carrying my two bags filled with clothes in both hands. I also had a backpack with my laptop, cellphone, and wallet filled with the money I was saving up.

Phil came over and took the two bags out of my hand and helped me put them in the car. When all three of us were in the car, Phil drove us to the airport.

In about thirty to almost forty minutes, we finally reached the airport. I got out of the car and Phil helped me with the two bags. We entered the building where plenty of people were walking back and forth.

I looked at my ticket to see which gate to go to. "I am going through gate C." I said while going towards the gate C.

"Well, let us get these bags settled in and then we can say our goodbyes." Phil said. He carried them to the security that checks the luggage or suitcases.

"This is it. [Name], you called Charlie beforehand. Right?" Mom questioned.

I nodded my head. "Yeah. Dad is probably still sleeping now, but he will be at the airport on time and waiting for me."

"Will Bella also wait with him?" Phil asked.

I shook my head left and right. "No. She has school." I gave them a smile. "I also wanted to surprise her!"

Phil teasingly messed my hair up. "Okay [Name], you take care of yourself and the other two. I will see you again whenever we visit or you come home to visit."

Mom gave me a bear hug. "While you are there, don't change too much you hear me? But do seriously give us a call. Bella has been calling less and less."

I let out a small giggle. "She ends up calling me late at night. You know? Sisterly talks."

Mom smiled. "Of course. I should have known. Well... Time to go."

I waved to the two and started to walk to the waiting area for gate C. I found a seat to sit and put on my head phones. I pushed the play button on my phone to let time pass as I wait to board the plane.

Once, everything was settled and we all started to board the plane. I sat down with my backpack and watched people sit in their own seats. The flight attendant started talking, and soon the plane started to move into the sky.

I stared out the window as the city started to become smaller until eventually all I could see is the clouds and the blue sky. I felt my eyes close and started to drift into a nap. I woke up when the flight attendant started talking about our arrival in Washington. The plane started to slow down and land.

When everything was situated, they finally let people out of the plane. I followed the direction that the people were walking to grab their bags. I watched the bags move in one direction by the conveyer belt. I saw my bags and grabbed them as quickly as possible.

"[Name]!" I heard someone call me.

I turned around and saw my dad. "Dad!" I called out to him. I wanted to walk to him quickly, but the bags were quite heavy.

Dad rushed towards me. "Why didn't you come find me so I can help you?" He asked while grabbing the two bags from my hands.

I smiled. "Sorry, I was excited to see you."

He ruffled my hair. "Well let's go home so you can settle in."

The two of us head to his car. We drove in silence. It was not really the awkward silence but not really a comfortable silence either. It was kind of in between.

The car pulled up in front of the house. Dad parked as I looked at the old house. We then got out of the car to carry the bags inside.

We entered the house and placed my bags into my old room. I looked around the place and noticed almost nothing changed.

"Wow. You kept it the same." I said in awe.

Dad let out a chuckle. "Of course! I was not the one who loved to decorate and change things like your mom. But even so, this room is yours. Only you are allowed to change it."

I gave him a hug. "Thanks dad."

"No problem. Well I need to get to work now. You just stay and organize your things. Make yourself at home." He said before leaving to work.

I started placing my clothes in the closet and drawers. Once I was done making my room more home like, I started to explore. I looked at the living room, the kitchen, and the rest of the rooms to start to familiarize myself with the house.

"Wow. Nothing really has changed." I whispered to myself.

"Creak." I quickly hid behind a wall as I heard the door open. I peeked over and saw Bella.

"[Name]?" She called as she caught me peeking over.

I pouted and revealed myself. "You found me!"

Bella ran and gave me a hug. "I didn't expect you to be here so soon!"

I smiled. "Surprise! How was school today?"

She chuckled. "Fine. Edward wasn't at school today."

"Aww... that's a bummer." I replied.

Bella shook her head. "No. It's fine. You are here. Since tomorrow is the start of the weekends we can go out and have fun before you start school. But today we should just stay home."

I nodded my head in response. "Oh! By the way, what's the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi password?" I asked.

She went to her room and grabbed a piece of paper. "Here."

I took a picture of the piece of paper and went to my laptop. I connected to the Internet and started to find movies to watch. "We should watch a movie." I called out to her.
