Chapter 04: "First day of school"

"[Name]! Time to get ready for your first day of school." Bella called.

I slowly sit up from my bed with my eyes close and softly rubbed the sleep away. "Okay."

I got up from my bed and went to the restroom. I brushed my teeth first then grabbed my hairbrush to brush out any tangles in my hair. I looked at the mirror and put on some lip gloss. I smiled at my reflection feeling good and confident.

"Ready [Name]?" Bella questioned.

"Ready." I replied.

We went in her truck and drove to the school. She looked for a parking spot, and I just looked at all the people passing by. I let out a small sigh.

"Hey, you got this! You're [Name] Swan. My little sister. If I can do this then so can you." Bella encouraged me.

I nodded and smiled. "Thanks."

We got out of the car and Bella's human friends saw me. "Who's this?" One of the guys asked.

"She's my little sister so back off." Bella replied in a protective tone.

"Nice to meet you. I'm [Name]." I introduced myself.

Bella's human friends introduced themselves, but I did not really care too much. They were older and I was not going to see them often.

"Well I need to take my little sister to the office." Bella said.

Her friends nodded and went about to do their own business.

"Humans, right?" I guessed.

"Yeah, normal human beings." Bella replied.

"Well they aren't as beautiful as you describe your other friends." I said hinting about her vampire friends.

"Of course! You need to see them to know how pretty and elegant they are." Bella said.

I smiled. "I sure hope so."

We went to the office and grabbed my schedule.

"Let me see!" Bella grabbed my schedule out of my hands before I could even reply. "Oh you have good teachers. Well maybe one or two will suck."

I laughed. "Thanks for the heads up."

"Well the good thing is that we have the same lunch period. So if my other friends are here then you can meet them." Bella said.

I nodded and headed to class with directions from Bella. I went inside and noticed everyone staring at me. I gave the teacher my schedule to show that I am indeed in this class now.

The teacher gave me a small class. "Well students let the new student introduce herself."

I smiled and waved. "Hi! I'm [Name] Swan."

"Wow so pretty." I heard many guys comment.

"Tch. Another girl?" A few girls said in envy.

"Well [Name], please take your seat in any empty desk." The teacher said.

I sat down in an empty desk, and the teacher began the lesson. I took notes and paid attention.

As time passed by, the other classes were just the same as the first one. I introduce myself to the class and then sit down at an empty desk.

Soon enough, it was time for lunch. I walked into the cafeteria and spotted my sister at a table. I went to her direction and set myself stuff in a chair at the table.

"How was the first half of school?" Bella asked as we walked to a line and grabbed a tray.

I also grabbed a tray and walked to the food. "Fine. I guess... Nothing special." I answered as I grabbed something to eat.

"Any new friends?" She asked.

I shrugged. "I wouldn't say friends yet. More like acquaintances."

We sit down at the table. However, I noticed two unfamiliar faces. A female with a short pixie cut and a male with golden eyes. Both were incredibly pale but still very beautiful and handsome.

"[Name], meet Edward Cullen and his sister, Alice Cullen." Bella introduced them.

I blinked in surprise while finally comprehending the situation. "Nice to meet you two. I am Bella's little sister." I held my hand out for a handshake.

"Aww... She's so cute." Alice smiled and grabbed your hand. "Just like in my vision." She whispered.

I shivered at her touch. "Thank you."

"Nice to meet you too." Edward grinned. "I'm sure you are fully aware about our species."

I nodded. "Yeah... I helped Bella with finding out."

"It's interesting how I can't seem to read your mind either." Edward said. "I can't read Bella's mind and for some odd reason I can't read yours either. But it's fine. Less thoughts in my mind."

I smiled. "That's good. I mean I'm not thinking about anything weird or whatever. I just think it's good for you to not have to think too much with unnecessary thoughts." I rambled on. "Sorry, that I just rambled on."

Edward smiled. "No it's fine."

"Before I forget. Would you mind if I wanted to dress you up and do makeovers?" Alice grinned as she had a vision about it when the two of you shook hands.

I shook my head. "Not really, I don't mind at all."

"Watch what you are getting into." Bella warned.

I giggled. "I'm different than you Bella."

"Well [Name], on Friday after school you should come over to meet the rest of us." Edward brought up. "The others would like to meet Bella's little sister."

Bella and I nodded in response. "As long as we get permission from dad." I said.

Author's Note: I hope I don't offend anyone by saying this, but I update when I can and I will take my time to. Honestly, I am slightly ahead of what I have posted. However, I don't want to update all at once to try to bring in more readers (hopefully). I'm trying my best to update at least once a week before things get too busy, yet at the same time I want the story to flow and make sense. My brain works out of order, and I tend to think of new ideas later on. So, I need the time to adjust what I want the story to be. Right now, I don't really have much of a plot. I don't know what kind of conflict to add in or if there should be an actual antagonist. I also don't know if I should try to make it follow or just add in events that happened in the original story line. I mean I have a general idea of everything, but I just don't have everything figured out.
