Chapter 10: "Preparations"
It has been about a week since I met the whole werewolf pack and have been imprinted by Seth. Tomorrow will be my first date, and I am quite anxious yet excited.
In each class, I am usually drifted off in my own world creating different scenarios in my head. Good scenarios tend to happen, but every once in a while I will get a bad scenario.
The bell rang that signaled it was time to move into the next class period. I hurriedly packed my stuff into my backpack and headed to the cafeteria. I went into the line, grabbed a tray, and started to place food into my tray. After I was done, I went to the usual table filled with the Cullens and Bella.
I sat down and let out a small sigh. I placed a spoonful of mashed potatoes in my mouth when I heard someone ask me a question about my wellbeing.
"Is something wrong?" Alice asked with a knowing smile.
I looked at her and replied, "Like you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow."
Alice's smile grew wider. "I know. I'm going to help you out. You will look drop dead gorgeous when I'm done with you."
Everyone else excluding Bella looked at us in confusion. "Okay, seriously. What's up?" Emmet interrupted our conversation.
Alice raised her hand in surrender. "It's not my place to answer that."
I looked at everyone and slowly my view was the food in my tray. I could feel a blush growing on my face. "I've been imprinted on." I softly said. I raised my head to look at the reactions and all I got was silence.
"Sorry, I'm just in shock." Jasper said.
"A filthy mutt? That's definitely not someone of your stature." Rosalie said.
Emmet chuckled. "Well that's a surprise."
Edward smiled and asked, "Who's the lucky fellow?"
"It's Seth. Seth Clearwaters. I've decided to get to know him through the dating process before committing to a relationship with him." I answered.
The male vampires and Rosalie then released a relieved sigh.
"Seth is great! He is really different from the rest of the whole pack including Jacob." Edward said. "He's a pure being."
"But what seems to be the problem?" Jasper asked.
"To tell you the truth, this is my very first date. I'm kind of dreading it. This past week I've been drifting off into my own world and creating these imaginary scenarios of how this date will go. Some will be fine and others would be an utter fail." I answered. "I'm just really anxious.
Emmet ruffled my hair. "Everything will be fine. You're just overthinking it."
I tried to fix the mess he made, and Rosalie helped me. "He's right. Just be yourself and enjoy the day. If something does goes wrong then it shouldn't matter. Seth and you will get through it since you know... you two are soulmates."
I smiled. "Thanks."
"After school, I will go to your house and we will discuss the rest of the plan there since..." Alice trailed off as the school bell rung once again for the next period.
The rest of the school day passed by so quickly. I was already heading home with Bella. We entered the house and saw our dad sitting in the kitchen eating during his break.
"How was school?" He asked us.
"Nothing new." Bella replied.
"Same." I agreed with her.
There was a knock at the front door which was an indication that Alice was here. I rushed to the door and opened it for her to come in.
"Hello Charlie." Alice greeted.
"Hi Alice. Nice to see you again." He greeted back with slight suspicion.
Alice smiled. "I wanted to ask if you will allow your two daughters to have a sleepover with me."
Our dad looked at us and nodded his head. "It's fine if they want to."
She cheered with glee. "Well come on you two let's get started on packing your stuff."
Bella headed to her room to get her stuff ready. Alice and I headed to my room. I started to grab some things that I needed for the sleepover such as comfy clothes and other necessities and placed them in a bag.
I looked in my closet. "Hmm..." I hummed while thinking of what else I was going to bring.
"Bring that dress that you recently bought." Alice suddenly said.
"How did you know I just recently bought a dress?" I asked in confusion as I got the dress out. "We haven't even met yet. So you shouldn't have had a vision about me getting it, right?"
She giggled. "Usually. However, this was based on the vision of getting you ready for your date. The dress still has its tag."
I nodded in understanding. "Alright, I think we should leave it on its hanger. I don't want it to wrinkle."
We started to head out of the house after we kissed our dad goodbye. The drive was fast, and the day ended with the four of us (Rosalie included) in Alice's room just chatting and having fun.
"What color should we paint your nails?" Rosalie asked once I finished painting hers.
"Hmm... probably the same or a similar color as my dress to match." I answered. I looked through the many bottles of nail polish and gave her the polish. "This one will do."
She started to paint my nails as we both started conversations with out sisters.
After a couple of hours, Bella and I grew tired and we decided to retire for the night. I slept in Alice's room while Bella slept in Edward's room.
The sun rose with the clouds, and I awoke to the dull rays. Alice came into the room with a smile. "Good morning! Time to get ready." She exclaimed.
I nodded my head sleepily as she dragged me to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. I dried myself and put on my outfit of the day. I returned to Alice's room.
"What's next?" I asked her.
Rosalie and Alice smiled. "Time for the makeover part," they both said in sync.
"I'm doing your hair." Rosalie started blow drying your hair.
Alice started to look at all of her makeup. "I guess I'm doing the makeup." She quickly grabbed all the needed makeup, and waited for Rosalie to finish blow drying.
After blow drying, Rosalie started to style my hair and Alice begun to put makeup on my face. We made small talk while the two were working on my makeover.
Eventually, I just listened to them bicker at one another and started to relax with my eyes closed. All those negative thoughts I had for my first date were gone.
Rosalie finished first. "Well your hair is wonderfully done." She told me.
I smiled at her. "Thanks Rosalie."
"Your makeup is done too!" Alice finished. "You look drop dead gorgeous like I saw in my vision."
I opened my eyes and looked at the mirror; I stared at my reflection in shock. My hair was nicely done in a half up do. My makeup was light like I barely had any on. "Thanks you two. I do look drop dead gorgeous."
Author's Note:
Sorry for the late update. I've been really busy with life in general... and getting into new fandoms and whatnot. When I first restarted this fanfic, I honestly was not as into the twilight series as I was when I read the books and watched the movies. However, I definitely did not want to disappoint and just stop and end the story half way. Thanks for the constant support :) I will try to update as best as I can.
P.s.
What kind of fandom are you into? Currently, I'm into riverdale and 13 reasons why. I'm thinking of starting a fanfic for the two, but I want to try to finish this first. Would you guys be interested in it?
