Chapter 07: "The Bonfire"

Jacob grabbed both our hands and pulled us to the forest. We searched for wood which usually ended up as being sticks and picked them up.

"So what usually happens in a bonfire?" I asked curious.

Jacob paused for a second and went back to looking for sticks and picking them up. "It all depends. Usually, we dance or sing, tell stories especially about our ancestors, chat, and the most importantly have fun." He answered.

Bella chuckled. "Yeah it's also fun to just watch them too if you don't want to participate."

"I tried to get you to let loose and enjoy yourself." Jacob said.

Bella scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Yeah... Like they welcomed me with open arms."

"Hmm... I would if the pack likes me." I said. "I won't join the fun if no one likes me. I would just awkwardly be there."

Jacob laughed. "Don't worry. I like you and if I like you then the rest will too. Plus Billy, Sam, and Emily like you. It's pretty hard not to like you [Name]. They may be cautious of you at first, but other than that you will be fine."

Bella gave him a look. "Did you... you know?" Bella asked.

"No..." He answered. "Why jealous? I wouldn't have mind though. She seems wifey material."

I gave Bella and Jacob a questioning look. "What are you two talking about?"

"It's-" Bella started but got interrupted by Jacob.

"We will explain it later at the bonfire!" He quickly said. I saw him turn to Bella and whispered. "Don't tell her yet."

I just shrugged in confusion and continued gathering more wood. "Okay."

"Are you being serious?" Bella whispered getting a bit mad. "I don't like keeping things from [Name]."

"I know. But I have a feeling. Maybe someone else will." Jacob said.

Bella glared. "I don't particularly like this feeling."

Jacob chuckled. "I think this is enough wood. Let's head back and start the fire."

"Took you all awhile." Billy said as he saw us coming back.

I smiled as the three of us place the wood in the middle of the circle of rocks. "We lost track of time because we started chatting."

Billy chuckled. "Well it's good to get to know one another."

I grinned. "Yeah. I feel like Jacob and I are best friends."

"Me too." Jacob said as he playfully swung an arm around my shoulder.

Bella pushed his arm off and hugged me. "She's mine." She teased.

We then started to make the fire. At first, it was just a small and tiny flame until we put more gas. The flames went wild and grew big but not out of the rock boundary.

We saw the pack coming, and we sat behind the flames where it was not easy to see us. Jacob and I were in the middle while Bella and Billy are at the end. Billy at Jacob's side and Bella at my side.

"Well, let's get this bonfire started. However, we have 2 guests. One of them you know and the other you don't." Sam started. "Bella is here with her sister, [Name]. Please give them a warm welcome. Now you may go introduce yourself and just do whatever. However, I suggest you introduce yourself one by one or something. You know it is overwhelming to meet too many people at once."

Bella and I stood up. "Hi." We both greeted and sat down.

The pack slowly approached us almost going one by one to introduce themselves, but really they came by pairs.

"Nice to meet you. I am Jared Cameron. The second-in-command." He shook my hand.

"I am Paul Lahote. The third-in command." He gave me a slight glare. "Are you a leech lover too?"

I tilted my head in confusion at first, but in a few seconds I understood what he meant. "I wouldn't per say I am. Although, I don't have any hostile feelings for them."

After the introduction of the two, Jared helped Billy to go chat with Sam while Paul trailed behind. Then, another pair came to introduce themselves to me.

"I am Brady Fuller one of the newest and one of the youngest member." He smiled.

The other boy laughed. "I am the youngest member, Collin Littlesea."

"Nice to meet you two." I smiled.

The two then walked off to sit down somewhere near the bonfire.

"These two are my best friends." Jacob said as the next pair came up.

"I am Quil Ateara V." He smiled.

"I am Embry Call." He quietly introduced. "Do you run with the vampires too?"

"Run?" I questioned.

"Like another word for side." Quil answered.

"Oh... I don't really have a side and I don't really pick one either." I answered with a shrug.

"So you don't mind me then?" Embry flirted and came closer to me.

Bella glared. "What! Did you...?"

Jacob shoved him away. "No. It's not his lucky day."

"What's going on here?" A male with a silly grin said coming over.

A lady also came over too. "Don't you see? Its two stupid and childish wolves. By the way I am Leah Clearwater and yes I'm the one and only female shapeshifter." She sent a small glare. "As long as you don't bring pain or danger to us then we will be cool."

"I am her brother, Seth Clearwater." He introduced and looked into my eyes with his hand out for a hand shake.

I looked into Seth's brown eyes and felt a pull. "Nice to meet you." I smiled with a small blush as we shook hands.

"He's the one." Jacob whispered to himself and sighed. "How lucky." He muttered.

Author's Note: Sorry for the late update! I only have 2 more chapters and then the slow updating will happen :( But I will try my best to catch up and try and update once a week again! Thank you again for reading ^ ^

By the way any Pokémon GO players/trainers? What team are you on?

I haven't decided but I'm thinking team instinct because I don't think they have a whole bunch of people in the team since I mostly hear team valor and team mystic. I want to help build the group :) But I also want to be teamless and break trends. I am team traveler for now!
