Chapter Sixteen - Equipment arriving

She flung open the wardrobe but luckily skimmed through it and just missing the stuff hanging around at the bottom. She turned around and looked at us sharply.

"Why would you lie about this?" She said then looking at Jackson

He stared at me as I winced and grabbed my stomach.

"SEE!" He shrieked pointing his finger in my direction.

Alice's mum concentrated on my hand but thought of it as nothing and grabbed Jackson by his wrist. She pulled him out of her room and Alice shot over to my side.

"You alright!" She asked worriedly

"Yeah, just pains.... ya know,"

"Well,actually I don't," She giggled

I punched her arm and laughed along. She stood up and put on her stereo. 'Rhianna ft Calvin Harris' Came on and we both were jumping along... especially to the chorus. I was careful though, I do take precautions.

"ALIIIIIICEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Her mum screamed from downstairs.

We both ran downstairs and were at her feet in seconds. Whilst she was shouting at Alice I took a quick look over her shoulder. The delivery was here!

"It isn't mine... well it is.... but it's not actually mine... its ..... its..... its Jennifer's!" Alice babbled in a hurry.

"It is her's isn't it?!" She replied looking at me

"One, HER name is ALI! and TWO I will even ask Jen if you like," Alice continued

"Oh, please do,"

Me and Alice looked at each-other in shock.

"I need to get my phone, hang on," She moaned

I followed her upstairs and we made a plan....

She text Jen saying Play along!xx

We dialled her number in-front of Alice's mum and waited for her too pick up.

"Hello?" She said once she had picked up the phone

"Hey Jen,"

"I'm confused,"

I coughed and looked sheepishly over to her mum.

"Will you please tell my annoying mother that this baby stuff here is yours," Alice continued

"Ummmm?"

"Remember earlier you told me to keep it here as you have no room?!"

"Oh, yeah and hello Alice's mum and yes it is my things I will collecting it up soon I promise, it's just that we have no room here at the moment. I am very grateful," Jen replied playing along

"Thanks Jen," Said me and Jen in unison

She hung up and threw her phone on the couch.

"Well well, I am sorry girls, you know what a mother can be like," Her mum said patting me on the shoulder

We carried the equipment upstairs and crashed out on the bed.

"Next thing though, we need to learn how to put this stuff up," Alice laughed

She looked over at me as I lay there with my hands cupped around my face.

"Whoa you do have a nice tiny little bump for a god-knows-how-many-months-soon-to-be-mum,"

I started crying once again.

"Hey hey, sorry I didn't mean to upset you," She said comforting me

"It's not you, it's just.... that was close...... too close!"I sniffled

"Bab, your going to have to tell someone, even if it was my mum,"

"It can't be your mum, she'll then tell my mum,"

The room went silent and Alice stared at me hoping someone would break the silence, and she was that someone.

"Maybe you should start by telling the babies father!"
