I'm so excited that I'm starting to talk to Ali again. She hasn't exactly told me what is wrong other than she has had a fever. But I know her too well to know that that is not all that's wrong with her.

Even-though I am thrilled of finally seeing her again, I don't know whether to go today or not, she was acting all funny with me yesterday and I don't know whether she's still 100%. Do I meet her?

I rolled out of bed and hopped into some trackies. I left my t-shirt off and wondered downstairs.

"Mornin' mum," I said giving her a wave in the lounge

"Morning sweet," she smiled

I put some bread in the toaster and went and sat down next to her. "Doing anything nice today?" she asked

"Well, I was supposed to be going and seeing Ali but she's being funny with me," I explained

"What do you mean by funny?"

"She's been off school for a long time and she only says she has a fever, but when I say she's been off for a while I mean months,"

"Oh," she sighed;

I looked longily at the television thinking off what to do.

"Maybe it is because you havn't caught up in a long time?" Mum suggested.

I want to tell her the whole thing. As in Ali stopped talking to me properly when we slept together. But I don't think that will go down too well as mum doesn't believe in young couples having sex.

"Hmm, I don't know. Do you think I should call it off today as I don't feel that comfortable at the moment?" I asked

"Whatever you think is best honey,"

I went upstairs and grabbed my phone. I scrolled down to Ali's name and sent her a text.

Hi, can we cancel today, I have something on that I can't get away from, I'll see you soon, xxxx

I left it as that and pressed the send button. By the time I got downstairs the toast was ready. I spread some jam over it and munched away. I sat down at the dining room chair and thought longingly at why she would act funny with me.

I text my best mate telling him to come around so after I had my toast I went and showered and got properly dressed. I greeted him at the door and took him upstairs. My room was pretty messy but it was also a typical teenage boys room. I turned up my stereo and we sat on the bed chillin' and listening to some sick tunes.

"How's the misses?" Sam asked.

"She's OK I suppose, she's been a bit funny with me lately but hey-ho,"

"Do you know what's up?"

"If I knew that I would fix what was wrong," I laughed

"True, true,"

"She's been 'ill' for months now and I don't know what's gotten into her,"

Sam was just nodding to everything I say and I knew he wasn't taking it all in.

"Are you even listening bro?" I said punching him in the arm

"Yeah, yeah sure," se said coming back to the real world "Maybe she's on her period or summin'?" he continued

"It lasts about a week not months," I reassured him

Sam wasn't one of the brightest lad's in the year, but he has been a perfect mate. I can't fault him for that.

"Want to go and have a kick about bro?" he asked

"Yeah why not, it might take my mind off of things," I replied
