Her Saviour

Chapter 9

Some time had passed by, and things could not have been better. Kassidy and Jake were now more than just friends, but now a couple.

If Kassidy was doing good before, she was doing wonderful now. Luckily for them, Kayla didn't pull anymore of her stupid stunts, and had actually been punished for her mean skit at the pep rally...her step mother was even fired from her job as cheer coach. Ever since the pep rally, the evil popular had kept some distance from the couple, except for the occasional evil glares, and talking behind their backs mostly to her minions. Most of the time people didn't care to listen to her anymore, they were growing very tired of her and her awful ways. But just because Kayla's popularity was slowly starting to fade, didn't exactly mean that Kassidy was queen of the entire school now...in fact she was still considered to be a freak by most, if not all of the school.

However, Kassidy was able to ignore all the hurt, now that she had Jake. Many of the students were not as vocal about it, in fear of angering the quarter back of the school's football team. As for the handsome jock, all he ever cared about now was Kassidy. All he ever wanted to do anymore was spent every moment he could with her. He just couldn't stand being apart from her. It was torture to him.

It was a Friday night, and just about everybody had plans. That is, except for Kassidy. It seemed like everyone was out on a date or out having fun tonight. Dawn and a new guy named Cole had went on their first date together, but it was not only them that went out for the night, Kaden and Bella, and even Kevin and Talia were out on dates tonight. As for Jake, he told Kassidy he had something important to do, leaving Kassidy alone at the the girls' shelter.

"Are you sure you don't want to go with me and Randi to the mall Sonic?" Macey asked. Both Macey and Randi were Kassidy's roommates from the shelter. The once again tall heeled teenager picked up her purse off of her bed as she headed for the door to leave, she turned around to face her friend before she left, who lay on her own bed sprawled out everywhere, staring up at the ceiling with a bored expression plastered on her face.

"Nah...That's okay Macey, thanks for asking though..."Sonic smiled at her roomate before putting her arms behind her head, and propping one of her legs up on the other.

"Okay then..." Randi walked out the door. With her roommate now gone, Kassidy's smile quickly vanished. What she really wanted was to spend time with Jake. But, unfortunately, whatever it was that he was doing was very important. She sighed "I wonder what he's doing?" She murmured to herself. She opened her window and looked out, hugging her pillow tightly in her arms. She didn't care if it was cold outside, she needed some fresh air.

"Nothing." Came a familiar voice out of nowhere. Kassidy nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of the voice. Kassidy looked out her window to the side and came face to face with her boyfriend. Jake quickly jumped in Kassidy's room through the window and had a big smirk across his face.

"Don't do that!" Kassidy threw her pillow at him, hitting Jake right in the face. Kassidy had hit him hard with the pillow, she was so angry at him, but instead of hitting her back, he simply just tossed it back over to her. He had promised himself would never hit her again, even if it was in a joking manner. She had suffered enough of that through out her whole life...
"What are you doing here? You know that boys aren't allowed at the shelter."

That was a strict rule at the shelter. No men were allowed to go anywhere near the shelter, unless they had permission by the staff. It was for the safety of all the girls living there."That's why I came in through the window, now get ready, your coming with me."

"What? Why? Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise." Jake said as he jumped out the window, landing outside.
