Chapter Thirteen

Sam's P.O.V.

When Grian's lips met mine, my entire body stiffened a bit. Grian was actually kissing me!! I felt all these different emotions going through me, but the two I felt the most were excitement and disappointment. It confused me as to how I was able to feel these at the exact same time. The excitement was probably because, sure, I do have some feelings towards Grian. Disappointment was probably because it isn't Taurtis who's kissing me right now. The excitement quickly overpowered the disappointment, though, causing me to close my eyes and actually kiss Grian back. We stayed in this position for a while, but then we had to part for air. Both of us turned away, blushing like crazy. Then we both turned towards each other, and looked into one others eyes. "S- Sam?" Grian asked. "Y-yeah?" After I had asked that, both of us crashed our lips back together.

Grian and I did this a good three or four times. We would pull away, turn away from the other and blush like crazy for a bit, turn back around, stare into the others eyes, and have our lips meet again. Yet every time I did this, the disappointment would slowly grow bigger. So after our fourth time doing that, I got up from the couch. He did, too. "Sam, look, I am so, so sorry for that. It's just that-" "Grian, calm down." I told him. "You don't have to apologize. If I'm being honest here, I actually enjoyed that." I told him. He looked at me, shocked. "R- really?" He asked. I gave him a small smile. "Yeah. It was quite enjoyable." I said. Grian smiled back at me and kissed my cheek. "Well if you really did enjoy that, then maybe next time we could get a bit more friendlier." He said with a wink, smiling. Both of started laughing, except mine was a nervous one. I just hope he wasn't being serious about that...

For the rest of that day, Grian and I avoided each other. Although both of us had enjoyed what had went on earlier, we just felt awkward around the other. We would glance at each other occasionally, giving small smiles, but they never lasted long. "Grian, I'm going to go over to my friend, Taurtis', place. I'll be back later tonight." I yelled as I headed for the front door. All I heard from him was an "Okay," and then I was off for Taurtis' house.

I knocked on Taurtis' door and he had instantly answered. "Hi Sam!" He said, smiling. I smiled back at him as I responded. "Hey Taurtis!" "You wanna come in?" He asked me. I nodded my head. "Sure!" He moves out of my way so I'm able to come inside. "Oh, and Sam?" Taurtis starts. I turn around to face him. "Yeah?" "Who was that guy from earlier? He doesn't seem to like me.." He says as he looks down. "O- oh, him? T- that's my friend from England, Grian.." I say, causing me to remember once again what had gone on earlier, and blush. Taurtis bursts out laughing. "Dude, why're you blushing so much?" He asks in between his laughs, which made me blush even more. "I- I don't think I'm too comfortable with talking about it.." I respond. Taurtis stops his laughing when I say this. "What do you mean 'uncomfortable?'" he asks with a confused look on his face. I look down. "Like I said, I don't think I'm comfortable with talking about it. When I am, I'll make sure to tell you I guess.." I said. "Uh, alright then..."

"So, Sam. You wanna go do something while there's still light out? Cause I'm bored as hell.." Taurtis asked me. "Uh, sure if you want then I guess we can." I said back. Taurtis sprung up from where he had been sitting and grabbed my hand. "Great! Come on, I actually do have something in mind!" He said excitedly. I smiled and blushed a tiny bit as he held onto my hand, dragging me to wherever he wanted to go. "So where are we going, exactly?" I asked. He looked back at me and smiled. "That's for me to know, and you to find out." I smiled back at him playfully groaned like a little kid would. Taurtis and I both laughed when I did that.
