Chapter Two

Taurtis' P.O.V.

"You ready to get your butt kicked?!" I asked Sam playfully. "Haha, lies!" He said while laughing. Sam and I were playing Super Smash Bros. on the Game Crab together. I smiled This is absolutely perfect... I thought to myself. I must have been thinking that for far too long because next thing I know Sam is yelling "I won!!" in pure joy and happiness. I laughed. "Dang it, Sam!" I said "Sorry I'm so amazing at this game!" He said, still laughing. His expression sunk a bit. "What's wrong, Sam?" I asked him. His ears were drooping over his eyes. He sighed. "Earlier, you had asked me about my ears.." he started. Oh no... "Well, you seem like a really good person, so...." He paused, probably thinking whether or not this is a good idea. "..... I'm going to tell you about them. But you have to swear on your life that your not going to tell another living soul!" He said. "I promise I won't tell anyone." I said. I felt extremely happy that Sam was trusting me enough to tell me. Too bad I already know. That would have made this moment even more special! He smiles. "Good. Now, about the ears... They're, um.. real.." He whispered to me. I tried to act as surprised as I did when I found this out on my own. "OMG, REALLY? THAT'S SO COOL!!" I yelled. I had to try extremely hard not to say "adorable." "W... wait.. You don't think I'm a freak?" He asked, shocked. "Of course not! Anyone who would think that your ears are weird are just weirdos themselves!" I told him reassuringly. He gave me a smile that I could look at for hours. Sigh, if only you were mine, bunny boy....

After he told me the "big secret" I had asked to pet his bunny ears, which he let me. "OMG, THEY'RE SO SOFT!" I screamed. He winced and held his hears. "Owww...." Fuck, I yelled too loud.... "Did I yell too loud?" He nodded his head yes. "Sorry.." "It's okay. I just hear things much louder than you guys do. That's why I talk kinda quietly." Ohhhh, that makes so much more sense now! "Oh, okay!" I really wanted to ask Sam that since he's part bunny that if he had a tail, but I decided not to. That would just get awkward.

After a bunch of wins and loses, some pizza and Mountain Dew, Sam and I decided to watch a movie. "How about a horror movie?" I suggested. I could see the fear in Sam's eyes, yet he still said yes to it. Perfect! Now when he gets scared I'll be there to comfort him! Maybe even cuddle with him! I thought while smiling to myself. I grabbed the only horror movie I have, plopped it into the DVD player object thing, and sat back down on the couch right next to Sam.

As some of the scary parts came up, Sam would jump up quite high actually. Most likely cause he's part bunny. Anyways, when he would jump, he would bury his face into my arm. How adorable! I thought to myself. By the end of of movie, Sam has his head laying down on my chest, nuzzling against me. I smiled as my face grew warm. I wrapped an arm around him, pulled Sam closer to me, careful not to wake him up, and fell asleep. Best. Night. Ever.

Sam's P.O.V.

I woke up with a small yawn and nuzzled up closer to my pillow, only it didn't really feel like one. When I opened my eyes, I found myself cuddled up into Taurtis' chest. I could feel my face grow warm with blush. Wait, what am I doing here? Then I remembered. I fell asleep while watching that horror movie with Taurtis. I tried to get up, but I felt an arm wrapped around me tightly. I realized it was Taurtis' and started blushing even more. I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. 3:57. Meh, I still have time. I quietly placed my phone down and nuzzled back up into Taurtis' chest. As I did so, I couldn't help but feel..... Safe. I felt as if no one could hurt me as long as I was with him. I smiled, ignoring the fact that I was probably blushing, and fell back asleep. Safe and sound.

When I woke back up, I felt a hand petting my ears and hair. I realized that Taurtis was awake. "Morning, bunny boy!" He said. I ignored the fact that he had called me bunny boy, and yawned back in response. "Morning." "Hey, its 6:05, you should probably get ready." Taurtis told me. "Alright. We didn't have homework for Mrs.Okami's class, did we?" I asked. "No." Thank goodness. I don't wanna start off at my new school not turning in my homework. I realized that I had slept in my school outfit so I didn't need to change. That's good. I went upstairs and washed my face.
