Chapter Nineteen

Sam's P.O.V.

I hissed in pain when Rowan grabbed ahold of my arm and took me away from Taurtis. It still really hurt after what I did to it last night. Anyways, when we were a good distance from Taurtis, Rowan whispered to me "Maggot, go to Okami. I'll be there once I get Grian." Confused, I nodded my head and went to the room behind the stage.

When I walked in, Okami was leaning up against the wall. She sighs. "Rowan must be getting Grian, right?" She asked when I entered. I nodded my head. "Yeah. So what's going on?" I asked her. "I'll explain once Rowan gets here with Grian." She tells me. I then sit down on the floor and lean my head back against the wall while I wait for the others to get in here.

About maybe a minute or two later, Rowan walks in with Grian directly behind. "So... why were we brought here?" Grian asks. "Well, Rowan and I are starting to have a small suspicion about Taurtis..." she starts. "We think that he may be the reason as to why the students that aren't here today are gone. If you've noticed, each of the absent students are ones that seemed to have bugged him in some sort of way." Now that I think about it... that's actually true... "Dom, he bullied Sam which, by what I saw, angered him. Invader, she flirted with Sam-" "And I did not enjoy that." I added in. "Right... Anyways, that caused him to use profanity towards her. And then there's Yuki. You and her dated for a bit, am I correct Sam?" she asks. I nod my head. "Yup. And - according to her dad - she's missing." I told them. "Oh... well, come talk to us later, we can try and figure something out. Anyways, back to the matter at hand. Rowan and I would like to test something." "Well what do you need us two for?" Grian questioned. "Well, Grian, I'm so glad you asked. So, before the other students come out of the locker rooms, I want you two to go sit down on a bench and just seem like you guys are having a good time. Make it seem like you're flirting with Sam I guess? I mean, if it makes you guys uncomfortable then I can-" "No, no, it'll be alright. We can do this" I butted in. Grian looks at me in disbelief while Okami smiles at me. "Wonderful! Now quickly go before the other students get out!" She said, signaling for us to go. I got up from the floor and walked out the door right behind Grian.

"I can't believe we're doing this.." Grian muttered as we sat down on a bench. I sighed. "You really do hate me now, don't you?" I asked him. He looked at me. "Sam, I could never hate you. I'm just upset that you chose him when you clearly knew that I loved you." He stated. "I'm really sorry, Grian. And I know that a simple sorry isn't going to mean anything to you, but can you please stop acting like this towards me?" I begged. He nodded his head. "Alright. Now lets get this over with.." He said, finally smiling at me after what seemed like forever. I smiled back. We both pretended to have a conversation when we saw the locker room doors open up. I pretended to laugh a bit at something that Grian had "said." I took a small glimpse of Taurtis and he honestly didn't seem too happy to see me and Grian getting along all of the sudden. I saw him quickly say something to J before he ran out of the gym.

Right after Taurtis had ran out, Okami came up to us two. "Alright. Thank you boys for doing this for Rowan and I." she said with a kind smile. We both smiled back at her. "Oh, and you might want to go check up on Taurtis, Sam. Just to make sure he's alright." She suggested. I nodded my head and walked out of the gym.

When I found Taurtis, he was in the boys bathroom. As soon as I entered I yelled "Taurtis!" I ran up to him, embracing him into a nice, caring hug. He wrapped his hands around mine, hugging me back. He pulled away slightly, put one of his hand under my chin - the other still around my waist - and then he placed a small kiss on my lips. I instantly kissed him back, enjoying every second of it. Just a few moments later, though, Taurtis and I heard a voice. "Ahem." We pulled away and looked in the direction in which the voice came from. J. "Sorry, J...." I apologized. He just laughed a little bit. "No, it's alright. I just wanted to remind you guys that I'm still here." He said. "You're not going to tell anyone, right?" Taurtis asked him. J shook his head no. "You have my word." He promised. Taurtis and I smiled at him. Taurtis then gave me a quick peck on the lips before he intertwined my fingers with his and left back for the gym.
