The sun had just barely risen when she was woken by her brother.
"Little Sister," Shadow's voice said quietly. "Come on Little Sister, we gotta get going to the village."
The girl groaned a bit as she slowly opened her eyes. She yawned as she sat up, rubbing her eyes and stretching. Shadow chuckled a bit, handing her some new clothes to wear and led her to the bathroom. She splashed water in her face, making sure some water was splashed onto Maimu to wake it too. The thing shook, squeaking a bit in shock of the cold water. She giggled some, splashing more onto the fluff ball and hearing it squeak again.
"You're funny Maimu."
After she was done cleaning herself, she put on her clothes her brother had given her. A dark purple layered skirt with a white layer underneath along with a white shirt that had short sleeves. She walked out, Maimu on her shoulder, and she made her way to the kitchen where her brothers were finishing their breakfast.
"Better hurry Imouto." Ebon mentioned. "Or we'll leave you again."
"Don't leave me Nii-sama!" She whined, still half asleep.
She sat down at the table and grabbed a slice of bread, spreading some jam on it. Her brothers gave her some fruit to eat as well, giving a couple to Maimu. It didn't need that much to eat, being such a small thing.
While she ate, the brothers got the cart ready with things they were going to trade with other traders at the village. They had a good year of harvest, which meant they were going to get great items they would need for the winter that would soon come. It was still a good couple of months off, fall hadn't even started yet, but they knew the sooner they got ready, the more they would have. For this family of five, they needed all the supplies they could get.
"Little Sister," Wolf called from outside. "We gotta get going, come on."
"Coming!" She called, taking the last bite of fruit and grabbing Maimu.
Running out the door, she ran past Shadow, who handed her the hood she would wear, and jumped into the cart along with the things they would trade. It was her job to make sure things didn't fall out on their way to the village, an easy job for her. She had made sure to not fall asleep, but sadly, she fell asleep every time. Her brothers didn't mind, they knew she needed the sleep, having woken her so early every time just so they could get to the market on time.
As they set off, Maimu sat on the girl's lap, the girl humming the tune she loved so much. Her brothers listened along, smiling at the sound of it. It would take a couple of hours to get to the village, but they had plenty of things to keep the girl entertained on the trip.
"Okay, what shape is it now?" Wolf asked the girl.
She quickly looked back up at the sky and smiled. "It looks like a rabbit now!"
"First a flower and now a rabbit, how does that work?" Ebon asked in a confused tone.
"It's what the clouds want to be silly Nii-sama."
"Silly Nii-sama" The boys repeated, laughing a bit.
"Ah shut up you guys, I was only asking."
The boys wouldn't let it go. They always teased Ebo whenever he asked that sort of question. They always teased each other, so it wasn't anything new.
"Alright, so what other games can we play?" Vreal asked.
"How about let's see how far we can throw Maimu?" Shadow chuckled.
"Brother! Stop joking!" The girl yelled, holding Maimu tightly to her.
He only laughed, Ebon joinning in on the other laugh. The other two brothers only gave a slight chuckle, shaking their heads.
