Thankfully, the boys had found sleep somewhere in the night and by the time the sun rose they were all asleep. They woke easily though, like it was programed into their brains when they should wake. The boys slowly slipped out of bed, each of them tired and trying to control their yawns. ONce they were dressed, Wolf walked into his sisters' room and lightly shook her. The girl moved a bit, not wanting to wake at all. He chuckled and picked her up in his arms and carried her to the kitchen.
"Come on no Little One, you have to wake."
"No...I don't wanna..." She complained, rubbing her eyes.
Wolf laughed, setting her down at the table. The other three boys walked around the kitchen, looking for something to eat. They handed the girl hers first before they got theirs. She munched on her food slowly, still half asleep. She hadd stayed awake too long on their trip home, but she was so worried.
"So Sister," Shadow smiled, holding his book in his hand again. "You'll be spending the day with Wolf and me."
"Where's Nii-sama and V-sama going?" She asked.
"We have to collect wood today in the woods." Ebon quickly answered.
The girl nodded, not bothering to ask any other questions. The boys were glad she didn't. they knew she usually wanted to know everything, but they also knew if they had told her in the morning then there was less of a chance of her asking. Their prediction had been obviously right, thankfully.
Once they were done eating, Vreal and Ebon stood and grabbed the things they would need. They said goodbye to Little Sister, the girl becoming more awake, and they walked out.
Silence took over the house for a few minutes. The brothers didn't know what to do and they certinally weren't awake enough to entertain the girl. She seemed fine though, Maimu being enough to entertain her for the moment as it ran across her shoulders and up and down her arms. The girl giggled, trying to catch the fluff ball but not succeeding at all. Shadow and Wolf couldn't help but to laugh as well, watching their sister jump off the chair she sat on and chasing after Maimu. The little thing knew how to easily get away from her, knowing all the small shapes it could fit into. When it squeezed into one such place, the girl sat in front of it, waiting for Maimu to come out. She was like a patient cat. If she had a tail it would sway side to side as she focused on Maimu and waited. The two brothers tried to guess how long it would take until she lost interest in Maimu and walked away, but they were both beaten at the time. She had become better at waiting for her pet.
"Little Sister," Wolf said. "Perhaps you should let Maimu get out of there."
"But then he'll get away."
"And then you'll be able to chase him more." Shadow replied.
The girl turned to say something to them and Maimu saw its escape. It quickly ran out of its hiding place, running off towards the brothers. She saw him run and chased after again. The boys quickly jumped out of their seats, trying not to step on the fuzz ball that was also trying not to get stepped on. It squeaked at them, not happy at all. Little Sister scrambled under them as well, making the boys fall over.
As they fell, one hit the table and made the food and drinks there fly into the air and crash on the ground while the other bumped into the shelf that held their cups and bowls. They came crashing down, some breaking and cracking, while others managed to survive the fall. The girl was scared by all the sounds pierced into her ears. She quickly covered her ears and ran off to hide somewhere, Maimu squeaking loudly and running off.
Looking at the mess, the two brothers sighed. They somehow knew it was a bad idea to let the girl chase her pet around the kitchen again. Shadow looked around for the girl, not finding her in the kitchen at all.
"Sis? Where'd you go?"
No answer. Shadow looked at Wolf and Wolf looked back at Shadow.
"Where did the girl go?"
"Where did she go last time she made a mess like this?"
Wolf sighed and walked out, Shadow following him. They walked towards their little sisters' room, slowly opening the door. They didn't see her in the room either. The two were just about to walk out when they heard a little whimper. Quickly turning, the boys knelt down and looked under the bed, which was the only hiding spot in the girl's room that she could fit under. Not to their surprise, their little sister was huddled under the bed, clutching to Maimu tightly and shaking. She looked like a scared kitten, ears back and eyes so big the light reflected off of them.
"Little Sister," Wolf smiled. "What's wrong?"
She didn't answer, the glow of her eyes disappearing and reappearing as she blinked. She held Maimu tightly as she scooted more towards the wall. Wolf and Shadow both sighed again, knowing it was going to be difficult to get their sister out. Loud noises like what just took place scared the girl and she usually stayed under the bed a good while before she would slowly come back out.
Shadow slowly reached under the bed for her, the girl still pushing herself against the wall. He got a hold of her jacket and slowly started to pull her out. She clawed the floor, giving a little yelp as she tried to escape. Shadow's grip was tight on the jacket though, and she couldn't get out of it in time. Quickly, she was pulled into his arms, gently but tightly, her head being softly petted. The girl clung to his shirt tightly, her ears still flat on her head.
"It's alright Sis," He said softly to her, still brushing her hair. "It was just the kitchen becoming a mess, nething else. Want to help us clean?"
She didn't say anything, but she nodded her head softly, still shaking. Wolf and Shadow exchanged glances, smirking a bit. This was a normal thing for the brothers in the house. The girl was still young enough to be afraid of things, the cat side of her added to that fright and she usually ran off like cats do. Maimu, on the other hand, wasn't even bothered by much. Very few things would scare the little fluff ball. The brothers thought this was good, since their sister was easily scared. Maimu could teach her how to be brave when the boys couldn't.
The boys took her to the kitchen, not saying a word as she clung to her brother. In the kitchen, Shadow slowly set the girl down to stand and walked over to where the cups had crashed down, picking up the bigger pieces and putting them into his hand to throw out. Wolf crouched near his sister and started to gather the food on the ground, staying quiet so he wouldn't scare his sister. The girl stood there, nopping a bit on the end of her jacket sleeve. She looked around at the mess that was created, her ears slowly rising. Slowly, she started to help gather some of the bigger pieces of the mess, putting them into a small pile for her brothers to take out later.
"Wonder how Vreal and Ebon are doing." Shadow muttered to Wolf.
"Let's hope they found her by now and got a deal set."
