Skai woke up to darkness. Her head seemed to be in a tight space but she felt air on her body. A sack, she thought. Of course.
She tried to move her wrists and legs but they were bonded with some type of tight lining... made of silver. Every time she tried to move, the lining would sting her arms and ankles. Good thing she was wearing jeans and her sweater was thick because it is made of wool, or the lining would burn.
First she tried getting the sack off by nodding her head forward and shrugging her shoulders forward, she managed to get it off after a few tries. She checked her surroundings, it was a large space with nothing in it. Then she noticed that there were two people on both sides of her. Memories began to flood back into her head and she thought of London and Jasper, then nudged both of them in the side with her elbow.
A girl groan came from her left and one from a boy on her right. They were bonded with ropes since they didn't need much restraint.
"W-what-", asked Jasper moving around in his chair.
"It's okay Jasper, it's just Skai and London", said Skai quietly. "To get the sacks off your head, just nod your head a little violently forward and hunch you back or shoulders." London got hers of first then Jasper.
"Where are we?", asked London.
"I don't know", replied Skai. "Maybe some empty storage unit or some large part in a mansion, like a basement. Now, how about we worry about getting those ropes off you guys." They both tried wiggling, but it came with no such luck.
"Oh!", exclaimed Jasper. "My dad gave me a pocket knife to carry around for protection." It was in his back pocket and he got it out by the tips if his fingers. Jasper started with his wrists and then to his ankles. He started on London then moved on to Skai in a matter of minutes.
"What do you think they want with us?", London asked.
Jasper shrugged. "I'm not sure, but we should figure out how to get out of here." London and Skai agreed, they looked and London spotted a door with light shining through the bottom of it.
"Hey! I think there's our way out!" They made their way to the door and cracked it open when there were voices.
"How old is she?", a female voice asked.
"She is an eighth grader, so I'm guessing 13 or 14, at least for now," replied a familiar voice. They all knew that voice belonged to a green-eyed boy that they ran into earlier.
"And her friends?", she asked.
"They were there after she had a fight at school and I knew one of them."
"And?", she asked again, leaning in close. "I figured the alpha would want a few more beta's since we needed more", he gave a smile, proud of himself. There was a slam as the girl's hand hit the table in-between them.
"And you thought it would have been great to bring, not one, but two HUMANS, two who don't even know about werewolves and are NOT even werewolves, here?"
The green-eyed boy stepped back with his hands up. "I just-", she cut him off.
"I also knew you would do something to mess this up. And you did. You always do. I thought you were actually, for once in your FREAKING life, making progress and would do your job right. But like always you don't think, which makes you ignorant and a naive idiot. That's why the Alpha doesn't treat you like he would normally treat others, because you will always be a disappointment and never be HALF of what your brothers are!"
The green-eyed boy's face was struck with sadness. "Now go get the three," the female waved him off angrily. "Before your brothers and the Alpha gets here." The boy nodded and headed toward the door muttering curses to himself.
"Crap!", said Jasper as they ran back to their chairs.
"Rap the ropes around your ankles and wrists but not all the way," instructed Skai. Jasper did Skai's, put on the sacks and they all acted like they were unconscious again when they heard footsteps. Jasper felt the boy pull his chair toward him.
The sack was lifted off his face, and the boy slapped Jasper to wake him. Jasper acted like he just woke up, with a surprised look on his face. The boy lifted Jasper's chin to his face and said, "Now, you won't be able to escape me." The boy walked over to Skai and London and lifted the sacks off their faces, and greeted them with a light slap to the face also.
"Wake up sleepy heads," the boy said. Skai caught London's eye and nodded. Time to make a move. Skai jumped up and wrapped the lining around the boy's neck. It began to burn him as smoke came from his neck and Skai a little.
"Go!," she yelled to London and Jasper. "Find an opening and make a run for it. Just go! I'll be right behind you!" Right when London and Jasper decides to run, and turns, there was a tall, buff man standing right in front of them with his arms crossed and veins pulsing.
"Enough," he said in a deep, gruff voice. "Play times over." Skai felt rough, calloused hands grab her wrists and were yanked off the chain around his neck and she was thrown backwards, to the ground.
The boy resembled the man in a way, just by the skin and they seemed to have the same nose. There were two older boys that looked like younger versions of the man standing on both his sides, their arms crossed also and smirks on their faces. The man smiled. "We've been waiting for you."
