The Crisis and Basketball

"Hey C! Wait up," said Leo trying to get out of the way of others. "There you are! You weren't on the bus so I went around the school looking everywhere for you." 

"What for?", Charlie asked. 

"Someone posted a video on the district's website and- Well, you'll have to see for yourself", he said taking out his phone.

What Charlie saw made him furious. It was a boy half way off his bed, talking in his sleep. 

"Mommy! Can I sleep for one more day?! I mean, school is great and all, but do I have to deal with those lousy teachers?" His head and arm was now off the bed. "In math we're  doing algebra and in science the peedeeodick table. In science we're disecting strawberries. Strawberries! They're not for disecting but for eating!" The boy threw his hands up which made him fall of the bed even more.

"Here's a song we can learn in ELA and Music." He cleared his throat and sang in a high pitched voice, very off-key.

 "A, B, C, K, P, D, J, Z, W, F, T, E, M, H, S, V, I, G, L, Q, Y, N, R, T, O, U and V. Now I know my 1, 2, 3's,  next time won't you sing with meeeee", he sung swinging his arms again and fell off the bed. When he fell off the bed you can fully see his face.

 'The award goes to the idiot himself', Charlie thought.

"Hey Charlie! Why don't you sing your 1, 2, 3's for me!", someone asked. Everyone started pointing and laughing. 

"Do you know who would do this", asked Leo. 

"Maia", Charlie muttered. 

"Wait, Maia? Your own flesh and blood?", Leo asked, stunned. 

Charlie finally figured out why Maia didn't wake him up, just so she could record him. Then she put him back on the bed to act like nothing happened!

"What are you going to do?" Leo said putting his phone away.

"One word- Revenge."

Today for some students was P.E. and they were done putting on their gym clothes. Everyone was talking but was silenced when the one of the coaches blew his whistle. "Alright everyone, today we aren't going to play dodgeball because most of the balls were let out", he said looking at Carly and Cameron.

"What? It's not my fault that they're all wimps! I just tried to toughen them up a little bit", Carly replied. 

"Well because of you, I have a rash in three places!", a kid called out. 

"Oh, shut up Jeffrey!", said Cameron. 

"Why don't you all shut up or we won't be able to do anything?!"

 "Thank you London. Like I was saying, we can't play dodgeball. So we're  playing basketball instead", said Coach McCall trying to sound enthusiastic. Most of the students groaned. Coach cleared his throat. Everyone stopped immediately, since they know not to cross Coach McCall. 

"We will all be splitting into two teams. The team captains will be...", Coach Martin (woman coach) looked around. "Leo and Carly." Leo made first pick with Charlie. Carly then chose Cameron (of course). London was his second pick and Nina was Carly's. Nina was not happy at that choice. Then on and on, the group all got picked to be on Leo's team.

Leo's team was named the Knights and Carly's team was the Royals. "We are going to pound you guys", said Cameron grinning evilly. 

The tables were turned and the pounding was on the Royals. The games score was 3-12. Skai and Spencer hit a lot of slam dunks and 3's. London and Leo did a little, but not as much as the two. The Knights were the winners and the Royals were stunned although the twins were ticked. Carly threw the ball at the team but missed and it almost hit Coach Martin but Skai caught the ball in midair.

Coach McCall was telling them about a basketball game that is going to happen against East Middle School next month. Those who would want to play will have to sign up at the end of the period. Practice will be after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This time everyone seemed happy since they were actually starting to like the game. 

"There will be a girl team and a boy team", said Coach Martin. "We will be playing as some fun, and those who do not want to will be able to go outside." 

"Now all we have to do is come up with a name. You can all just shout out your answer." The gym was full of names, when Coach McCall blew his whistle to stop it. 

"We've made our decision. We will now be called the Olympians." He put his hands in the middle of the group and so did Coach Martin. "Now who's with me!" People put their hands in. "Olympians on three. 1...2...3..."

"OLYMPIANS!!!!"
