*Louise's point of view*

'ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!' Alex screamed at me, his face turning a dark shade of red, I could feel myself starting to retreat away from him. I had never seen him angry and quite honestly I didn't want to ever again, it was terrifying. That being said I didn't know what I had done to deserve the screaming I was getting. 'WHY DID YOU THINK IT WAS APPROPRIATE TO THREATEN TO BOMB THE AIRPORT WHERE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE IN!'

Well, that answered my question. I could feel all the colour drain from my face as what Alex just said began to sink in. I felt a wave of nauseousness that left me staggering backwards.

Destination; the floor.

However, I felt Alex's strong arms wrap around my waist and stabilising me.

looking at him, I could only pray he was trying to play a prank on me, even though with his uptight personality, the possibility was very low but still I hoped.

'What?' i managed to squeak out. worried in case I opened my mouth and I get word diarrhoea.

Closing his eyes and briefly resting his forehead against mine he took deep breaths as he tried to calm himself down. Meanwhile, my brain decided to shut down and my body spasm out at how close he was to me. I wanted to shove him away, that was my initial instinct. I had personal space and he was in it, yet a part of me wanted to move closer. mentally scolding myself for thinking that way and especially at a time when he was very likely than not to bite my head off. Thankfully, however, he pulled away soon after and grabbing my hand dragged me to the desk and chair in the room were he forcefully made me sit down while he crouched in front of me in order to look directly at me.

'Can you tell me what you said, word for word?' he asked me as he braced his arms on the outside of the chair, looking me straight in the eye, 'I want to get this resolved quickly as we have a meeting in a couple of hours that we need to be present for.'

'I literally got off the plane and tried to get through those metal door things so I could get to the other side in order to collect our luggage but the big security guy kept asking for my passport, which you had so I told him that,' i said as I took a deep breath. I wrung my fingers together with anxiety as I tried to remember exactly what I said, ' i told them not to worry cause I'm not carrying a knife or gun or anything and I promised I wasn't going to bomb the place, just get our bags.'

Alex didn't say anything for a few minutes, merely stare at me. I felt myself begin to sweat, what if he didn't believe me? would he just pretend to not know me? would he just give me to the police?

my mind came up with all kinds of horrible situations and I was on the verge of a panic attack when I heard him exhale loudly.

'You are so lucky I believe you,' he grumbled as he hoisted himself up, 'I'll get this sorted just from now on, whenever we are in public, you do not leave my side. god knows you haven't got a filter and with the language barrier that can only lead to disaster.'

Without even thinking, I leapt up and grabbed him in a fierce hug of gratitude, burrowing my face into his neck, I wrapped my legs around him, most likely resembling a baby monkey climbing up a tree due to our height difference. And that was how the officer lady found us when she opened the door.

Only raising an eyebrow at our somewhat precarious position she entered the room before speaking some very fast jibberish I assume was french.

'Nous avons cherché vos sacs, mais n'a rien trouvé de suspect , après que nous faisons une recherche de corps, vous serez libre d'aller '

Only know realising the consequences of my actions, I tried to detangle myself from Alex but his hand pressed my body firmly to his. merely sighing at this, I unwrapped my legs and allowed myself to  slide down his body and let me just tell you, it was not a bad experience.

blushing at my train of thoughts, I peeked up at Alex to find him wearing  a smug smile while he continued his conversation with the officer.

'À propos d'elle? peut l'idiot aller TPO ? Il était vraiment juste un malentendu . Elle avait essayé d'assurer l'autre officier qu'elle voulait seulement faire passer pour récupérer nos sacs pour réduire le temps et tenu aucun danger réel .'

'Oui' The lady said before handing him a piece of paper, 'vous devrez signer ce avant que nous puissions vous libérer.'

Quickly signing something, he handed the paper back before opening his legs wide and being searched. quickly following his lead, I did the same, careful to keep my mouth closed.

Thirty minutes later, we had finally gotten through security and were on our way to the car that was waiting, when a query came to me. turning to Alex, I tapped him gently with my free hand as he had insisted he pull the suitcases so I had bargained that I would carry his laptop bag.

'what is it?' he asked me as we pulled up in front of the car, the driver silently taking the suitcases while Alex opened the door.

'Which Hotel are we staying in?' I asked as I climbed in until the end in order to leave enough space for Alex, either he grew overnight, or the car was smaller than usual.

'Where not staying at a hotel per say,' he said, smirking at my confused expression.

'Where are we staying then? and wat do you mean 'per say'?' I asked, confused and irritated at the same time at his cryptic nature.

'Were staying at the apartment I always stay in when I'm doing business in the Paris,' he said grinning at my shocked facial expression, 'but don't worry, you'll have your own room.'

wanting to argue, I held my tongue instead, knowing he got off from getting me angry.

shrugging, I said, 'Hotels are over-rated anyway.'
