"Later today, the rankings of honor students will be posted at the bulletin board in the lobby. Please make sure to avoid any fracus later. That is all." announce nung nasa intercom.  

"Sino kaya ang first ngayon?" Yna  

"Malamang eto oh." at nginusuan ako ni Lindsay.  

"Baka si Sharlyn na yan, mababa ako sa ano eh."  

"Saan na naman? Ganyan ka rin last time, pero first pa rin. Sus! Pa-humble ka pa dyan." Yna  

"Oo nga. Pero yaan na, baka naman may distraction si Kath kaya ganyan?" Lindsay  

"Huy wala ha. I'm completely focused. At ano naman ang pagkakaabalahan ko, or distraction naman? Tch."  

"Si ano..." Linds  

"Si you-know-who." Yna  

"Ahh! So Voldemort?—Aray ha. Ang effort mong manghampas, Alyna. Salamat na lang." I spat sarcastically.  

"You're welcome." Yna  

"Tama na nga yan. Si Kenneth kasi. Ke-neth. K-E-N—"  

I cut Lindsay off, "I get it already!" Nakapang-iba ng mood. Tss. Tumahimik naman ang atmosphere.  

"You miss him, right?"  

And I unconsciously said, "Yes." My hand immediately flew right into my mouth.  

"S'okay."  

After that moment, wala na ulit akong gana sa klase or ano. Nung dismissal na, nag-part ways muna kaming tatlo nina Linds at Yna. Babawi sa grades ni Aly, at di ko naman alam kung saan pupunta si Linds. Baka sa bar na naman? Psh. I gotta stop her from that habit of hers.  

Pumunta na ako sa may lobby. Nakita kong maraming tao kaya umalis muna ako. Sa library ako nagpalipas ng oras.  

"KATHY!"

I turned around.  

Wala namang tao. Everybody seemed so quiet and busy reading. So who would even dare to shout my name?

I remembered him.  

I pulled out a book. Magbabasa muna ako habang nagaantay mawalan ng mga estudyante sa lobby. Makikita ko rin naman ang results eh, kaya what's the use of maneuvering inside wild students?

An envelope fell. Familar 'to ah. Ang tagal ko na din palang di nakakatanggap ng ganitong letter. Na-miss ko. Joke.

As usual I didn't get it. But still, there's a part of me that tells I have to keep these letters. I smiled in confusion.  

Five PM na, siguro naman wala ng studyante sa may lobby. Pagkarating ko may tao pa rin pero konti nalang na di katulad nung kanina. I heaved out a heavy sigh before peeking.
