So Now You Want Me?

Chapter 14

VANESSA'S POV

Its been a week after the earthquake I caused. I was currently sitting on a bench at a park. It was the first time I actually went out in a public place since the death of my baby boy. Sandra and Bella both convinced me to go out for ice cream. I have lost a lot of weight since I barely eat anything. For the last two weeks I have been surviving through little pieces of food and lots and lots of exercise. Running in the woods looking at nature calmed me. I could literally sit out there forever. I asked Tim if I could live in his house he had built for him long ago. At first Sandra and Tim looked concerned for me. I had kept persisting if I could and they finally agreed.

I was pretty happy they let me because I just wanted to be alone. I was very deep in thought until I felt something hit me on my leg. I looked down and saw a small ball. I looked up and saw a little boy running as fast as he could to get to where I was. 

When he was in front me I saw his beautiful blue green eyes and his blondish hair. He was so cute. Tears stung my eyes.

"May I have my ball please" he said

"Sure little one" I said; a tear landing on my cheek.

He reached up to my face and said 

"Please don't cry. You can keep my ball if you like." he said with so much honestly

"It's ok little one. Don't you worry."

"Can you bend down please"

I was now confused and did as I was told. He put his little small arms around me and hugged me. I started sobbing uncontrollably I put my arms around the little boy.

"Jason! Jason!" I heard a very worried woman call out.

"Oh Jason there you are" she said once she spotted us.  

"Ma'm are you ok?" she asked now worried

"Y- ye- yes I am" I said.

The little boy looked up to his mom and said "She needed a hug mommy"

The woman looked at her son with so much love.

She then turned to me.

" I'm so sorry about this. He usually doesn't do that."

"It's o- ok. I really needed the hug." i said trying to muster my sobs.

The woman gave me a small smile and left with her son.

In that moment Bella and Sandra ran towards me. 

"Vanessa are you ok" Sandra said to me.

"Why are you eyes red" Bella said.

I only kept looking towards the woman and the little boy. He was holding his mom's hand. Just when I was about to turn around to face my friends; the little boy turned around gave me a big smile and a wave.

I started sobbing so hard I fell to my knees. I started rocking myself.

" M- my little boy" I said.

"Th- that cou- could hav- have been us" 

Bella kneeled beside me and hugged me; seconds later Sandra was also hugging me.

Oh what beautiful future we would have had, 

me and my baby boy.

After the park we went to Tim's cabin in the woods. Since Sandra threw the ice creams she had bought for us on the floor to hug me, we had a little stop at the grocery store. While I had sat in the car with Bella, Sandra went to buy three pints of ice-cream. One for each one of us. When we reached the cabin we got spoons and decided to go to a near by cliff because it had a good view . Bella stayed with us for a little while and said she had to go do some errands. We completely understood because had been with us all morning.

After sitting in complete but un-awkward silence Sandra looked like she was debating on whether or not to tell me something.

"Just say it" I said. She was getting on my nerves just sitting there with unease. 

She looked surprised and said to me

" How did you know I had something to say."

"Sandra you are one of best friends. Of course I know you"

"Ok but you have to promise me not to get mad."

"Just say it already you're getting on my nerves" I said rolling my eyes.

"You need to see Jake." she said in a whisper.

My heart stopped at the sound of his name.

"W- what?" I Stuttered. I had heard her very clearly due to the very sensitive hearing us wolves have.

"You have to see Jake! You miss him like crazy and you and your wolf need him. He is the only one who can truly take your pain away." 

Only one?? I was pissed!

"ONLY ONE? YOU ARE WRONG SANDRA! THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN TAKE MY PAIN AWAY IS MY BABY BOY!" I yelled. 

Since she was too a Luna she didn't bounce one bit. Which annoyed me right in that instance.

I took a deep breath 

" Look I'm sorry I yelled. I don't want to argue with you."

"I don't either. But you have to see him"

" You want me to see him but you were the one who once told me he didn't deserve me. Why should I go see him now. He caused me all this pain. The only good thing he gave me was my child who died."

"I know what I said. I was going to tell you sooner but it's been rough for you. But you have to see him"

"N-" 

"Before you say anything just hear me out ok?"

"Ok"

" After you left Jake was torn to pieces."

I just rolled my eyes.

"Torn to pieces? That's funny" I said my remark full of sarcasm

"Just listen!" 

"Fine " I said

"After you left he was torn to pieces. He wasn't himself anymore. He stopped seeing every girl. Before I left to come see you Jake's love life was literally his work. Since he is now Alpha, since his dad stepped down due to health reasons. ALL Jake ever did was work. He stopped going to parties and told everyone that he had lied and that you were his mate. People didn't say anything to him which took him by surprise. He has been looking for you like crazy. Ever since you left. I know this because before he left the pack house I would see him and over hear him talking to himself about how stupid he was for letting you go. He left the pack house when he was officially the Alpha. I had seen many girls literally try to jump his bones but he rejected all of them. Before he left the pack house though there was one time when I heard him say "I love you" I was so furious because I thought he was with a girl. When he left his room I ran in there ready to scream at some dumb girl but instead I found a picture of you laying on his dresser. That's  when I finally understood that he really did love you. I did want to see you but that was also one of the reasons I asked to meet up with you. I wanted to tell you that he loves you"

My heart fluttered 

Jake loved me?
