Stiles Stilinski Pt: 2

~~STILES~~

I was sitting on the MRI machine surrounded by both of my best friends who had concern washed on their faces even though they were trying to hide it. To my left was Scott who was twirling his thumbs against his palms and trying to think of the right thing to say to me. To my right was Tal who was leaning at the end of the bed with both of her arms crossed against her chest. Her dark eyes hid what she was thinking but I couldn't normally sense what she was thinking anyway. My father had already left the room with Melissa behind him and they were waiting on the opposite side with the doctor. The silence had become to the point of awkwardness between the three of us so I decided to speak up.

"You know what they're looking for, right?" I asked both of my friends seeing Scott turn his gaze to me shaking his head no and then I looked over at Tal seeing her expression hardened almost like she did know. "It's called Frontotemporal Dementia...areas of your brain start to shrink. It's what my mother had...it's the only form of dementia that can hit teenagers and there is no cure."   

"Stiles, if you have it, we'll do something." Scott started looking over at Tal who returned with a nod in agreement, I could tell she didn't want to talk because she probably didn't want to say something wrong right now. "I'll do something." 

I glanced at my best friend before we pulled one another into a hug, to hear my best friend would give me the Bite in order to try and save me meant a lot to me. My eyes turned to Tal who had her head lowered and her dark hair tried to cover her face.

"Thanks Scott..." I smiled pulling away from him keeping one hand on his shoulder and I turned back to look at Tal again. Scott nodded a swift nod before turning to Tal which they both and both he and Tal began to leave the room. "Wait...Tal...can I talk to you? Alone for a minute." She nodded as Scott turned leaving the room as Tal turned to face me.

"What's up?" I asked clearing my throat trying to hide the huge lump that was there when Stiles told me that he may have the same disease as his mother.

"I need you to listen to me Tal, you and I both know that I won't survive the Bite if Scott decides to give it to me." Stiles started I remembered Peter telling him this and other than being a born werewolf my Alpha side could sense whether or not a human can survive the change, Stiles unfortunately may not survive it.

"Stiles..." I gasped he held his hand up to silence me, I bit down onto my tongue trying to fight back the pain I was feeling inside.

"I need you to do me a favor, if anything happens to me I want you to take care of them. My dad...Scott...Lydia...the pack, all of them." Stiles exclaimed he knew that I wasn't one for being a friend to everyone in the pack other than him and Scott but he wanted me to look after his father. Flashbacks of the past started to flood across my mind but I quickly shook them free from my thoughts to focus on Stiles.

"You listen to me Stilinski...whatever that scan says we will fight this...we will find a way to save you and if the Bite isn't an option then I'll do everything in my power to stop it. I'll keep you alive, I promise." I explained touching Stiles's shoulders with my hands, I could sense something was off inside him but I knew he was going through hell right now. I looked at him then I did the one thing that I never do, I pulled him into a hug and held him close to me.

Tal was hugging me...me of all people and I just wrapped my arms around her to hug her back, I felt her hand holding the back of my head with her thumbs rubbing against my hair. 

"You are the only best friend I ever had Stiles...I am not going to lose you too." Tal whispered my heart fluttered a small bit and after a minute Tal broke away from me. I couldn't speak I could only nod at her with a small smile before it dropped from my face.

"Miss. Hale...we need to begin the scan." the doctor replied over the loudspeaker, Tal gave my shoulder a  small squeeze before turning to leave the room. Everything was now racing through my mind as I laid onto the MRI table so the doctor could begin the test. I don't know what was real and what wasn't anymore, that included my feelings towards Tal.
