~~STILES~~

Alice was upstairs in my bedroom while I was downstairs with my father who told me that the test proctor had planned to do more than just kill Alice, Scott and the pack. He was hoping to study there DNA alterations in order to make an even more powerful virus that can't be cured. Luckily for us Agent McCall saved us but in reality I did die today, I died and Alice saved me. I decided to keep that secret to myself, my father worried enough about me being in this world I don't need him stressing out. After my father left to go back to the station I headed up the stairs with aspirin and a glass of water for Alice. We drove past her foster parents house and Alice told me how they were away for business this weekend so they were gone until Monday. I offered Alice to stay over with me since I didn't think she should be alone right now and she agreed with me. With my hand I pushed opened my bedroom door seeing Alice was looking at the light bulb in one of my lights that sat on one of my bed side tables. I watched it flicker softly as Alice was trying to concentrate on it; her eyes remained focused as the light began to flicker more. A few seconds later she closed her eyes gripping the temples of her head with her fingers and the light went off thankfully it didn't shatter.

"What are you doing?" I asked she looked over at me; she took the cover of the lamp and placed it back onto the light.

"Just seeing if I can control this power inside me..." she answered I moved towards her handing her the aspirin and the glass of water which she took without another word. I sat down next to her on my bed, our shoulders barely touching and I put both of my hands together. I unzipped my sweat shirt which I did to hide this from my father as I saw the hole and blood staining the fabric, my fingers touched the hole as the memories came crashing into my mind. I remembered the pain in my chest when the bullet went into me; I remember feeling my blood leak out of my chest and mouth. I remember falling into Alice's arms and seeing her face swelling up with tears as she was begging me to stay with her. I felt my breaths stopped along with my heartbeat, I could still feel Alice holding my body almost like she was trying to keep my soul within. I felt her forehead pressing to my chest as she cried and then I remember something that Alice had said to me. She said that she loved me...I did have feelings for her but I was always afraid to tell her since I felt like she wouldn't feel the same. "What if...what if I can't control this fire inside me?"

what if I can't control this fire inside me?"

"You will...we will help you...Scott will help you...I'll help you." I smiled Alice looked over at me I could see the fear in her eyes.

"I'm afraid I'll hurt you Stiles..." Alice exclaimed I moved my one hand taking hers tightly into my hand and squeezed it.

"You won't...I promise..." I smiled pulling her into a small hug holding her body tightly to me. I didn't release her hand and she didn't try to break her hand away from my grip. "Tell you what...why don't we watch a movie to take your mind off this? You can pick the movie...I have them over there...I'm going to change my shirt."

I was scanning Stiles's movie collection while he was fumbling through his drawers looking for a clean shirt, at the corner of my eye I could see him pull off the bloody one. I revert my eyes away when I noticed Stiles looked up almost like he could sense that he was being watched, I quickly reverted my eyes and took the first movie my eyes fell onto. When I heard Stiles's dresser drawer shut I turned back around, I showed him the DVD and I saw him do a small happy dance which told me I picked the right movie; it was Star Wars. Stiles got the DVD ready while I sat back on the edge of the bed again, I really couldn't shake what happened today and how I did what I did. What didn't make sense to me was if Phoenixes were immune to disease and possibly impervious to flames then what killed my parents? What could possibly kill me? I snapped out of my train of thought when Stiles plopped down next to me and I saw his smile which made me smile back. About half way through the second movie I couldn't help but chuckle at how into the movie Stiles was, I remember how crazy he was into Star Wars. My eyes started to droop a bit and I shook my head to keep myself awake but I must've caught Stiles's attention. He pause the movie to look over at me, I could see the bed side clock read two in the morning and I could also see that he was a bit tired.

"Why don't we call it a night?" he asked moving to the dresser pulling out a clean shirt and a pair of his sweats handing them to me, I took it from him and he moved out of the room so I could change. I tied my brown hair into a loose ponytail when Stiles reentered the bedroom. "You can take my bed; I'll take my couch downstairs. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask."

"Wait...Stiles..." I exclaimed stopping him from walking out of the bedroom, he slowly turned back to look at me. I swallowed a small bit; I was afraid and even nervous to even asking this question. "Can...can you stay with me? Please...I don't want to be alone right now."

I gave her a small nod and crawled into the bed next to her, she was laying on her side as I wrapped both of my arms around her body. Her body curved perfectly against mine, my eyes started to get heavy as I felt Alice's body move slowly in my grip. I moved my face close to the back of her head lightly.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to you Alice...I promise." I whispered and I drifted off to sleep.
