I told Violet that I would take Tessa out tonight, I offered her to go for a run with me and when I got her alone then I would use my blade on her.
"Are you sure you don't want my help?" she asked me I looked at the blade, the sunlight glistened off the metal and the Wolfsbane dripped down.
"No...I got this...you focus on McCall's new Beta. I'll call you when its over." I answered she gave me a nod, when the Wolfsbane finally dried I hid it from view into my back pocket of my shorts. About ten minutes later I met up with Tessa who was stretching by the path, I froze for a moment watching her in the distance and I felt like something was wrong.

"Garrett? Your staring?" Tessa chuckled I shook off my thoughts and returned an innocent smile to her.
"I'm sorry...are you ready to go?" I asked she nodded we both turned to the path and began a brisk jog down the dirt. I knew she could run even faster then this but she was acting like the normal human I knew she wasn't.

About twenty minutes later we were doing a small walk through the Preserve, I stopped at the sight before us and Garrett turned to look at me.
"What is it?" he asked I was frozen at the sight before me, the image of my once home stood and the horror that unfolded when the fire consumed it. The smell of sulfur, ash and carbon was a permenant scent etched into my nose. Screams flowed through my ears, the only thing I remembered was Peter pulling me away from the fallen bits of the ceiling. Though Peter was the enemy he still tried to save me, I could never understand why he did but he did. "Earth to Tessa?"
"Sorry...bad memories here. Mind if we go this way instead?" I begged Garrett just gave me a small nod moving the opposite way towards where the Loft was.
"That was where it happened? The Fire?" Garrett asked I felt the tension stiffen all of my muscles in my body before slightly turning around.
