I had just arrived at the cinemas, and so far only Willow and Rose were there.
"Hey guys," I said smiling. I always feel in a better mood after a trip to the gym, and today was no different. I had a jump in my step, and it must've been obvious.
"Let me guess. You went to the gym?" Rose asked.
"And you did well, and you put all your troubles onto the treadmill?" Dee added out of no where.
"You guys know me so well, and yes, 18km in 63minutes, not my best, but after that, I did circuits, you know, chin ups to weights," I smiled. All of us laughed. After 10 minutes, everyone had arrived and we made our way into the cinema, I'm not one for sitting and watching, so movies weren't my thing, so I was depending on the company of my friends to keep me sane. After an argument on what movie to watch we all decided on a Marvel movie, so we grabbed food, and made our way over to the the seating. We all sat in the furthest seats, Riley on the end, then Isaac, then Jed, me, Willow, Rose, Dee and then Tam. Though, none of us really watched the movie, I'm pretty sure we would've been kicked out the cinema if anyone else was actually there, but we were the only people there... But I had a great time, I usually don't get out, so being out with all my friends was great. I mostly spoke with Jed, because Willow was busy telling Rose about her 'amazing' trip to Australia in the summer break, it made me jealous, so I just spoke to Jed. We had a lot in common, his parents didn't really care about him either.
"Wait, so you're 14, yet you can lift the same amount of weight a man at the peak of their fitness can lift?" Jed gaped.
"Uh, yeh I guess so, I've just never thought of it like that," I laughed.
"Damn, remind me not to get on your bad side," he joked. I winked at him.
"Anyway, tell me about your family?" I asked.
"Well, I'm originally from Mexico, mum and dad are everything business, so I'm practically ignored, but thats were the boxing comes in, it just helps me get rid of my anger, and any other emotions invading my head," he said.
"I know the feeling," I murmured.
"Tell me about you, I've talked a lot tonight, don't be shy, I don't bite," he joked. I laughed.
"Well, my little sister - Milly - she's the favoured child. Mum and dad only care about her, I'm just there to them I guess. Like all they feel they need to do with me is feed me and give me shelter, nothing else, they don't care about my education, or my life in general. Its all Milly, Milly, Milly. But I do the same as you, every kick, or run, I put my emotion into it, it just helps clear my mind, and I always feel better after a run," I answered. Sad thing is, not a word of that was a lie. We chatted about everything and anything after that, tossing questions back and forth about life in general. We have similarities and differences. I'm a dog person, he's a cat. But we're both neglected. After the movie, we all parted ways, and I unfortunately went home and didn't take up Dee's offer to go to her house, mum would freak.
Mum was on my tail the second I got home(strange.) She shadowed my every step, staring at me in great detail, she noticed every muscle I moved. After a good 20 minutes I couldn't handle it anymore.
"Ok mum, what the heck, why are you following me," I ordered. She straightened her spine and spoke in a very professional voice.
"A group of Activist's have been trying to get followers in New York City, and we are running out of people in the DAA, and we're in urgent need of a young girl, to act as a daughter to a person high in the government. They need someone who can be professional, and elegant. And... They've requested you, Sensei Jordan says you are more than ready for the task," she responded.
