"My people and I are interested in making new laws to improve our world," he started.
"As most of you already know, our world is always at war with itself, over race and culture. We want to stop that. We want a world free of fear. We want a world of free will. And my people and I have plans to make this happen." he continued. Confused glances were tossed between the audience. Hillary quickly squeezed my hand. And titled her head towards Wayne, as if asking if he was batting the wrong side, I nodded. She seemed to pale a little.
"How do you plan to do this Mr. Latrum?" A man asked.
"That is why I'm here today, I want to discuss my plans with all of you," he smiled.
"Please proceed," A women stated.
"We want to put new laws in play restricting what people can and can't do. There will be one, and only one government that rules the world - which will be us. We will all join forces, so people cannot make war with each other, because they'll only be making war with themselves. There will be no one to make war with," he stated. Damn he was good, he was putting on a good face, making it seem like a good thing.
"How will you get followers? Surely not everyone is going to drop all their things, their plans - because I should remind you, others have plans of their own, and they have more followers than you. Not everyone will drop their things and do as you say. What do you plan to do about this?" A women asked.
"Because we're offering the world, something they've never been offered before," he smirked. This didn't sound good.
"And what is that?" The same women asked.
"A choice. A choice to choose the right side. There is war everywhere, and even as we speak, there still needs to be one final 'argument,' before the world can be one," Wayne responded. It was like a light bulb went off in my head. Thats what he wanted. He wanted war.
From that chaos erupted, people arguing, some people sat quietly grinning at the mayhem, others frowned upon it.
"This meeting is over! Everyone is free to leave, be back tomorrow same time and we will continue," said a man with a loud voice, as everyone rushed out the room. I sticked as close as possible to Hillary and Marcus until we got in the limo.
"We will talk when we get home Agent Martinez," Marcus stated as we drove off. I nodded and looked out the window. What had the DAA got themselves into. What had I got into? The brink of war was lying on my shoulders. I wasn't ready for this. What am I thinking? I should call up Tony and say I'm not ready. But if I do that, they may request Milly. I can't have her enter this world. Have her make this decision.
We soon arrived back home and immediately head to the living room.
"He wants war," I say once I'm certain its safe to talk, "He wants an all out world war. Like World War three," I add.
"This is not good," Hillary whispers.
"The loss will be astronomical," Marcus continues.
"We need to think deeper, he wouldn't start a war unless he was certain he could win," I stated.
"You're onto something there," Marcus mumbled deep in thought.
"What had always been the Activist's plan?" Hillary questioned.
"Well, once about 5 months ago, they planned to level the planet and start over," I laughed.
"Wait, hold on." I said. For some reason, that level the planet thing made me think of a few months ago on the news. Some rocket scientists had created a nuke to do just that(for some bizarre reason) and had put it in a top security location. Then it hit me. "TURN ON THE TV!" I shouted lunging for the remote, I quickly flipped to a news channel.
