One Sunday morning, my mother forced me wake up early. I hate Sundays. We always go shopping on Sundays and that means having to wear normal clothes. And by normal clothes I mean cute, fashionable, absolutely normal main character clothes.
Mom's requirement was to wear a skirt. Thankfully, she let me wear anything else I wanted so I grabbed a jacket, a hat, and I also wore glasses. Mom is not a huge fan of my contact lenses. Also, she always wants me to have my hair untied. I always wore it in a braid at school.
While Mom was in the grocery, I asked to spend the time in a book store. I read manga for about an hour or two before going back to the grocery.
But I met an obstacle on the way. I came across a black cat, I stepped on a crack, my shoelaces got untied, and a grown up man was walking towards me. Oh no, gotta run.
"Wait! Miss, please wait!" And wait I did. I felt sorry for the guy, he was out of breath.
"My name is Tooru Tsukamoto," he said and handed me a card. "Can you please be a model for my agency?"
I ran. Okay, that was rude but there's no way I'm going to be a model. First of all, I'm short. Next, I'm not pretty or cute. Although I admit, the outfit I pieced out is neat. I looked around and found a girl taller and prettier than me and gave her the card.
"The man over there said he wants you to be a model. Better intercept him," I said and ran away.
I stopped by a stationary store to hide from the man. I looked around and saw some pretty good stuff. I bought a mechanical pencil with a little crown on top. I'm a sucker for crowns.
Next, I went to a toy store to look for figurines of this new anime I'm into. I scanned the store and saw Yoemon in isle four.
"Yoemon!" I waved. He looked so shocked, haha.
"Um, who are you?" He asked nervously.
"Dude, I thought you were a tough delinquent, why are you so nervous? Also, it's me! Yui Sugawara,"
"Liar."
"Bleh," I stuck my tongue out. "I knew you'd say that. Anyway, that figurine is cute."
"But not as cute as you," he murmured but I didn't quite get what he said. Meh.
I talked with him a bit more and went outside. I went in a clothing shop and accidentally met up with two of my classmates, Mira and Yachi.
"No way, Yacchan, look it's Yui!"
I ran. Again, pretty rude but I didn't want my classmates to see me in this condition.
Haa, I'm so tired from running. I went inside the mall to look for Mom. I passed by a coffee shop window and saw Sakura waving at me so I went inside and sat down.
"You look cute today, Sakura. What's up?" She was wearing a sleeveless, white blouse tucked in a polka-dotted, mint green skirt, with a brown belt. I should shove this girl outside and have her hunted by modeling agencies.
"Oh, didn't I tell you?"
Well, obviously, I thought. I wouldn't be asking if I knew.
"Kousuke-kun asked me out today!" She looks so happy and so cute. This precious child must be protected.
"Good for you! Meanwhile I got asked out by my Mom to the groceries." I sighed.
At that same moment, Arima came in and sat down beside Sakura. Aww, look at them, so perfect together.
"Who's your friend?" Arima sipped some water.
"What are you saying? That's Yui-chan!"
Arima spat his water. I would've had the same reaction had I been another person, to be honest.
"Well, you two have fun. Stay protected. Gotta look for my date now. Bye!"
I met with my mom in the toiletry section. I grabbed an extra pack of napkins to prepare for my red days. I also told my mom to stock up on chocolates. I get a little too agitated on those days.
