Sydney's POV
"GUYS!"
We jerked our heads in the direction of the high-pitched voice in curiosity. An excited looking Aubrey came running towards us and stopped in front us, panting heavily like she had just run a marathon.
It was just part of the school hallway.
We looked at her, waiting for her to carry on.
"There's a party tonight! My place, at nine, okay? All of you better come. And no exceptions, Xavier, Cody, Tyler and Sydney." Aubrey sternly said, eyeing all of us.
"I always come, it's these guys that are the wimps." I jerked my finger in the direction of the boys, leaning my arm on Tyler's shoulder.
Xavier pushed my arm as a joke.
"I'm not a wimp!" He childishly defended himself and I raised a brow.
"Sure you aren't." I unconvincingly nodded my head.
"I don't think I'll be able to come." Cody plainly said and Aubrey put her hands on her hips.
"Uh uh. You have to come, mister." She grounded and I laughed.
"You're not getting out of this Cody." I chuckled and he looked at me with a slight grin on his face.
"You're right, he isn't." Aubrey glared at Cody and he sighed in defeat.
"Fine." We could hear the frustration in his voice as Aubrey smirked evilly.
"Sydney, come to my place at seven, we'll get ready there." Aubrey said, more liked demanded and I put my hands up in surrender.
"Okay, girl, calm down." I said with wide eyes and she glared at me. And then something hit her, she had a realisation because I could tell that whenever she did, her eyes would widen.
"Sorry guys, I'm just borrowing Sydney." Aubrey grabbed my arm and tugged me away. I gave a look to the boys saying 'I don't know what the fuck is going on' before Aubrey turned me and herself around the corner.
"Spill." Was all she said and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Huh?" I genuinely was confused.
"You and Cody. What happened after that sleepover?" She smirked at me, she knew what had happened, she just wanted to hear it come out of my mouth.
I smiled when my mind went back to the heated kisses Cody and I shared.
"We kissed several times. Alex knew something was going on, I told him. Cody came over last night, we.. Ya know.. Made out, but then I told him we needed to take a break. I don't know what we have. Like, am I his girlfriend? Are we 'friends with benefits'? I just told him we should think things through, see how things go from here." I rambled on and on to her and she jumped up and down.
She squealed, "I swear, you guys are like the cutest couple ever." She clapped her hands together in excitement and her smile faltered after a while.
"Wait, you guys are having a break?" Aubrey frowned, "Damn. I hope you guys figure it you. I love you." She sadly smiled and I mirrored her expression. "You guys would be the golden couple. Literally."
"Thanks, love you too." My smile widened.
"Come on, let's get back to the guys." She swung an arm around my shoulder and I did so too, as we walked to the cafeteria.
