"I was cynical, I was a realist, I saw nothing but black and white." She was down to nothing but emptiness, he had drained her of it all. "Until I met you, my world gained color. It was like some handed me this beautiful mahogany pallet with the most colorful pastels. How can you not see a forever with me?" Her heart broke before he even opened his mouth.
"You have unrealistic expectations! Nothing lasts forever, everything dies at some point. No one can escape inevitably." And for the first time, tears flooded his honey brown eyes as he held her face in his large brown hands. "It doesn't matter how much I love you, forever doesn't exist. And if my love for you could make the possible, I would love you more and more each day."
"There is! You just have to look deeper. Search harder, pick up your paintbrush Cal." Her plea was dripping with desperation. "Just pick it up." She said again.
"I can't."
