Epilogue

I screamed. I literally screamed. I couldn't contain my excitement. I remembered everything, and now Luke was asking me to marry him. I was so overwhelmed, and I couldn't say anything. So I screamed.. right in Luke's face.

The scared look on his face after I screamed even scared me a little, too. I felt that I had hurt him, even though I hadn't meant to.

Mum came rushing into my room with Paisley not too far behind her. They both worried that I was scared or hurt.

"Peyton, are you okay? What's going on here?" Mum asked us. Luke still had his scared look on his face. I continued to feel as if I couldn't speak, so all I did was grab Luke's face and kiss him. We both stood up in the process, and I could tell he was calmer then.

After we finished kissing, I pulled away from Luke, I looked at my family, then at Luke. I finally felt like I could speak.

"I remember," I whispered, beginning to cry. Luke smiled at me.

"I know, babe. The doctor told me that yesterday. That's how I knew to propose this morning," he told me.

"Oh my God," I couldn't quit smiling.

"When I came home from the tour, I knew I wanted to propose to you sometime during the break. I didn't get to, though, because you couldn't remember me. I knew that I would propose soon after you were able to remember," Luke took the ring from the box. "And I'm guessing that kiss meant the answer to my question was yes?"

"Definitely," I nodded, smiling as he placed the ring on my finger. I kissed him once more, thinking of how thankful I was to have remembered him and all of our memories.
