Camila...

"What is it, what is it?" Zoelle ran up to me as I walked into the house.

"Mommy, daddy, do I get a little sister?" She eagerly jumped around.

I sat on the couch next to Brianna.

"Yeah," Brianna smirked. "Am I going to get another niece or is it a nephew this time?"

Zoelle came and stood in front of me.

Then she leaned over my lap and rested her chin on her hands.

Zoovier picked her up and asked, "Zovie, what you think it is? A sister or a brother?"

Zoelle began to sing quietly to herself while moving her head around.

I swear, young children have less attention spans than rocks.

"Zo'?" Bri called out. We all laughed at Zoelle.

"I want a sister." Zoelle responded. "So I think it's a giiiiirl." She dragged out.

She then directed her attention to her father.

"Daddy, please tell me it's a girl!" She squealed and looked at him with puppy dog eyes.

You know, that look she gives him whenever she wants him to give her what she wants.

But unfortunately, this time that cute look wouldn't be able to affect the outcome of anything this time.

"....It's a boy, baby girl." Zoovier calmly said to Zoelle. "

But look at it like 'dis– you'll have a brotha' ta' protect you." He flashed a convincing smile.

But Zoelle wasn't buying it.

She began to whine with the cutest pout on her face.

"But I'm gonna be bigger-er than him, he can't protect me!" She whined. "I want a sister!"

"That's not the way things were meant to turn out, Zo'." I felt pity for her.

She seems really upset about no having a baby sister on the way.

At this point, there wasn't really anything I could do but comfort my baby.

But still, her being distraught about the situation wasn't going to get her a baby sister.

"Zoelle, having a baby brother would be fun too. I can promise you that he'll be almost as adorable as you." I nervously laughed.

She rested her head on Zoovier's shoulder as her crying ceased. "You sure it's not a girl, mommy?" She sniffled.

"Yes baby, I'm sure." I said with laughter evident in my voice.

"Man." Her eyes darted to look at my stomach.
