CHAPTER 8

Victoria's POV

It has been 3 days since the incident took place but still Prince Kayden lays motionless in his bed and it's becoming very difficult for all of us to take care of River , she has neither eaten nor slept for past 3 days which is worrying all of us , we all know that she loves her brother ,he is the only one she has . In these days I grew to know a lot about her , we have become so good friends in a short time and prince Kayden ,I've heard about him many times before meeting him in person he is considered as one of the most finest promising warrior so does my dear brother Tristan but I never thought he would be so handsome, he just saved me from my death but I can't fail to understand that somehow I'm the reason for his condition and I'm very thankful to both of them for saving my life . River talks highly of him she told me her past which took me by shock that how could a father do this to his own flesh and blood, how could he become so abussive, my abomination towards grew more when I got to know about and I kept it a secret from all,even from Tristan according to River she hasn't disclosed it to Kayden or my parents,I tried to explain her that she should tell Kayden but she thought that its dispensable

I and Tristan got to know about the brutality of King Lucas and his so called son by our parents on the night of the incident itself we were shocked to hear about it was a very obnoxious feeling ,so dad told us to give a good company to River till the time everything is proper again but we all know that she doesn't need any sympathy she is quite intrepid and strong she just needed a good company to lighten her mood

Tristan and I would spend some quality time with her speaking on random topics and in between Tristan would make cheesy comment which made me and River roll our eyes as it was our vacation time from training within a weeks time dad's students will return and our training will also commence she tried to do her best to forget her past but somewhere down the line she was dispirited which we understood , she had gone through a lot we knew and on the other hand Prince Kayden wasn't regaining consciousness which even made our parents worried , healers said that its due blood loss

After 2 more days
River and I were in Kayden's room ,when his hand started to make movement which first I thought that was my hallucinations but then he started to move his head which was shortly followed by opening of his eyes
I instantly made River aware of Kayden's movement she jocundly jumped and started waking him up and in the mean time I ordered the guard to fetch the physician immediately but River insisted on going to fetch the healer herself so I send the guard for my parents & Tristan

Kayden's POV

I opened my eyes slowly trying to adjust to the light which was too harsh for my eyes to resist ,when my eyes adjusted to the light my eyes searching for my beloved sister which I failed to find but I my eyes saw the the girl who was fighting in the forest
The next thing which I noticed that I was in a very lush and spacious room which means that I'm in a palace but in whose and who is this beautiful girl sitting in front of me and looking at me with concerning gaze? When I was about to ask her inflammatory pain made its way which earned a painful groan from me ,she tried to slimmer me down then I heard some voices coming towards me which and I was stunned to see the man ,he was Lord Howard Stark himself with Lady Rose Stark that means I'm in Gallifiry and the girl sitting in front of me is the princess of Gallifiry!

"Oh at last our sleeping prince is awake!"he mockingly said while the princess helped me to sit up and I thanked her for that .
"Honey how are you?" Lady Stark asked politely and her voice dripping from concern and Lord Stark was very eagerly waiting for my answer

"Um........I'm always fine ,there is nothing to worry about me but please tell me where is River? Is she alright?"I asked unable to control my anxiety

"She has gone to fetch the healer,she'll be there in a moment " the princess said which calmed me a lot her voice was quite soothing just like my mother

"Well she's my daughter Victoria , I believe you remember her" he said while winking at me ,I nodded and greeted her by slightly bowing my head while Lord Stark smiled at me

"I thank you for Saving me prince Kayden "said the princess
"I believe that you don't need to thank me but I should thank you for saving my life "I truthfully said while politely smiling at her

Suddenly the door flew open and brought the most awaited person that I've been dying to meet River herself ,tears of joy and dark circles marred her beautiful face,I also noticed that she has lost some weight she came running towards me and hugged me and I also hugged her back
Then the healer approached to inspect the wound and my health which was alright, I don't even considered it as a wound but my little sister beg to differ
"The prince is perfectly fine, your majesty . He just needs a day rest to overcome his weakness "the healer adviced as he began to leave

There was a soft knock on the door which took all the attention towards the door
"Please come in"Lord River said politely ,the door opened to reveal a boy of my age who was as taller as me and had black hair as do Princess Victoria has ,he had well defined looks just like princess Victoria and Lord Stark ,well there was no doubt he was the son of the great lord ,he was Tristan Stark,one of the most promising warrior in the coming years
