CHAPTER 6

Kayden POV

How dare they touch my sister ? How dare they killed Justin ? All these thoughts were wandering in my brain,I never wanted anyone to suffer because of me , I never thought that my father could do such a low thing , I never thought that he would become so blind in the love of his elder son Drake that he would try to kill his own son and would try to sell his own daughter how mean could he become all this made me feel angry, hurt,............betrayed ,I lost everyone who loved me except River and now I can't afford to loose him , I realised that I didn't deserve love but River do deserve it!! River's painful scream forced me to come back to reality

"River !" I cried trying to comfort her , her faced looked deprived from glow and colour she looked pale and fragile and I feared that she will break any moment "Does it hurt a lot?" I asked a little worried
"No ,not that much I'm fine thank you " was all that she said then her big eyes glared at me as if I've turned into a demon
"Kayden ! You are hurt and your wound it looks quite deep " she said while caressing my wound " We need a healer right now, you have lost a lot of blood your tunic is all soaked with your blood" she said in a panicking tone
I calmed her down " I don't feel any pain I'm alright and besides I deserved it." I hissed while clutching my fists to keep my anger at the bay
"Shut up you oaf ! None of this is your fault alright?" She almost scolded me but I considered it as a folly
"Right Justin died because he supported me & you were almost near to catch your death because you are my beloved sister isn't my fault at all" I said in a sarcastic tone , she didn't argue that shut her mouth up or perhaps she knew I was not the best person to be argued with when I'm angered
I made her stood up by giving her some support so she doesn't fall again as we both stood we were both surrounded by our own kingdom's soldiers and in front there was the devil himself Drake Odinson , by just merely seeing him in front of my eyes I couldn't control my emotions and I charged towards him but was stopped by own my sister

"Perhaps River is more intelligent than you, Kayden" Drake commented

"Don't you dare to take my sister's name from your filthy pest of a tongue!" I groaned and his smile vanished from his face replaced with hatred , I pulled River protectively closer to me as I could understand her uneasiness

" Well if your brother sister reunion is over it's time for you,Kayden to bid farewell to your lovely sister " Drake said cheerfully without missing a beat and continued
"She has committed the crime of attacking the prince and the guards of this kingdom and you also know our rules revolutionaries aren't spared here!"

" You are no prince, you are satan in disguise of a prince!!" I ferociously said
"If anyone comes near her I promise it will his last day to live , no one will be spared not even you Drake, if you have any confusion ask the army how brutally I killed your commander in chief who had came to witness my murder"

Drake smiled and said "I was thinking that seeing your deaths will be very delirious but now I think it will be better to let you both suffer ,it is said that to snatch away ones hope and his dreams is the worst punishment one can ever indulge upon anyone where you are left hopeless,broken you both always dreamed of unifying Demenor's lost territories which were lost under the rule of Grandpa Joe and return the prosperity of this realm which was once there when our great grandfather ruled , but sadly that won't be happening anytime soon as I, Drake Odinson,son of King Lucas Odinson on the behalf of the King banishes you two out of Demenor , if you are ever found here in this kingdom then your heads would be chopped off!!" Drake announced with an evil smirk on his face I wanted to punch him and make him cry for what he has done to me but River stopped me
"Leave it! Please leave it Kayden I have lost everything now I can't loose you , who is very dear to me , let's get out of here and start a new life ,I know what Grandpa's wish means to you but for once , only for once we have to run"She pleaded me with hooded eyes
"Run where River this is our home"I said hopelessly
"Wherever our destiny takes us" she said while lowering her head as if she had accepted her defeat
" Listen to the girl and get out!" The King said while making his entry and everyone kneeled before him except us , his face held unspeakable contention as if he wanted this after all this time I didn't showed any feelings,I didn't want them to know that they have achieved what they wished for, I didn't want them to know that they have broken me I took my sister's hand and started to depart and said " Don't ever think that you have won over me , remember failure is only one step behind success! You will pay for what you have done to us!!"my every word was laced with venom and hatred and a promise which earned a loud laugh from my king & from Drake with that I helped River to climb Asher followed by me , we started our new journey completely relying on our fate , where our destiny takes us !!!
