Next thing I knew, we were riding in his truck. It's a decent truck, but that all I know about it. I wonder if he's taken any other girls to places in this truck. He turns on the radio and Tame Impala plays. I love Tame Impala; soothing voices and it makes you forget about the world with headphones on. He lets down the windows and watches my long, dark hair flow in the wind. I look back at him and the sun is beaming through the reflection of his eyes. His eyes are so beautiful.

"Where are we going?"

"There's this vintage music shop that I love to visit sometimes."

"I can tell. I've spotted a record player in your apartment."

"I love anything vintage. Old and rustic feel to it."

"I love vintage too."

We pull up to what seems like one of the best music shops in California. We walk in and the man behind the counter greets us. I make my way around the shop and look at the many vinyls around. There has to be at least 5 thousand of these. I can barely keep up. In the corner of the shop, I spot the most beautiful record player I've ever seen. I walk over to it in amazement. Shawn comes behind me.

"Do you like it?"

"I love it."

"I can get it for you if you want me to."

"No, I don't wanna trouble you with your money."

"It's okay. It's the least I can do. Anything to make you happy while you're away from home."

"Okay."

I smile and he walks towards the front counter and asks for the price.

"$120." The clerk says and my eyes widen. There's no way he would go out of his way to pay for that

"I'll take it." Shawn says

"Alright."

The store clerk comes over to where I am. Notice that I haven't moved. He grabs the box on the top shelf and Shawn pays for it. In the meantime, I spot a Tame Impala vinyl and grab it as soon as Shawn hands him the money. I am still in shock. Why would he buy something for me already? We just met. I guess anything can surprise you. Shawn and I walk out with the newly purchased vinyl and record player. After driving for about five minutes, we end up at the beach. Which makes me a bit curious. I mean, what does he want to do at the beach? What do you do at the beach? I haven't been to the beach since I was about four. I don't remember anything actually. We walk out onto the sand and only about ten people are there as well. I watch as the cool breeze caresses his hair, and the sun rays makes the surface of his skin glow. I never really noticed how long I was staring at him until he noticed. He smiles. But not just a smile. It's one of those smiles that gives you instant goosebumps when a guy looks at you a certain way. Have you ever gotten that feeling? I haven't. Except for anxiety goosebumps.

"Do you wanna go in the water?"

"I don't have a bathing suit."

"It's okay. Me neither."

"You're saying we should go in fully clothed?"

"Sure! Why not? Let's have fun."

"Well, okay then!"

As I thought I was about to walk towards the clear blue water, he swoops me in his arms and runs towards it. At this time, I was so stunned I didn't know what to do. Then a warm, wet blanket of water washed over us as we hit the water. My hair soaking and his as well. It made him laugh in amusement. I splash him with water feeling care-free, with my cheeks burning red. I liked this guy a lot even though I met him a week ago. I watch as the small water droplets fall from his eyelashes. Did I mention that he was wearing a white t-shirt? He's wearing a white t-shirt, black holed skinny jeans and a silver chain around his neck. A few minutes later, we make our way back to our sandy shoes and the truck. Once again he let down the windows to dry us off. I had so much fun today. The most fun I've had in years.

We make it back to his apartment and I decided on a hot shower. I watch as the steam rises its way above my head and feel my long hair get damp onto my back. I use a kiwi scented shampoo and conditioner for my hair and peach body wash. I get out the shower and get dressed. I dab my hair with a towel and visit Shawn in his bedroom. I unexpectedly see him playing an acoustic guitar and singing. His voice is so soft and soothing. I was so amazed.

"Wow, I didn't know you sing."

"Oh, I'm sorry." He quickly puts down the guitar.

"No, it's okay. Keep playing. I loved it."

"Did you really?"

"Yeah."

I sit down beside him on his bed. I'm only in a white t-shirt, seeing him admiring me. I smile and motion to his guitar. He picks it up and starts singing his own acoustic version of Give It Up by Nathan Sykes. I suggest you listen to it. Nathan has that unique voice that I can fall asleep to. He's so underrated. My eyes switch from his hands to his eyes. Admiring his God-given talent. I can tell he sings for comfort. All of the stuff he's gone through, he puts it in his singing. So emotion-filled and passionate. I sing with him and he looks at me and smiles without stopping. The song ends and we both are impressed with each other. I look at his lips and he does the same. He leans forward and a huge shot of tingles form on my entire body and I went blank. I inhale sharply and move back, feeling a bit anxious.

"I'm sorry, I got a little carried away" I say

"No, it's okay." He chuckles nervously and scratches his neck

"Sorry, I really didn't mean to. I wanted to, but then I backed out like a loser."

I really cannot believe I just said that out loud

"You wanted to?"

"Well, probably. I don't know. I have mixed feelings and I just met you. So maybe not just yet."

"Okay. Whatever you feel, I'm cool with it." He smiles

"So you don't have a girlfriend?"

"No I don't." He smiles and I tuck myself in his bed.

He goes to shower and I rewind the episode over and over again in my head. Should I have kissed him? Does it even matter if I only knew him for only a week? I mean people kiss strangers on the street for some reason. All I know is that they do it for social experiments. Maybe I can let him make the move next time. Man, that was embarrassing.
