It was Lily Evans 17th birthday and she was celebrating it at Hogwarts school of WitchCraft and Wizardry. The sun was peaking over the tall pine trees that surrounded the school and the birds were chirping. Everyone in the common room was waiting for lily to awake, the boys and girls gathered by the fireplace, some with small gifts and some just wanting to wish her well. Most people admired the ginger haired girl, she was sweet but stubborn, Controlled, but temperamental. Lily woke up and saw nobody, confused she thought she was really late and hurried off to get her school robes on. She brushed her hair and quickly did her light fix of makeup before dashing into the common room. "I'm going to be-" she announced, when she stopped looking at the sight she was delighted.
James rushed twoards her and handed her a present with a letter ontop. "to my dearest Evans." Lily laughed and tiptoed as high as she could to kiss his cheek. "Thanks potter, but you guys really didn't have to-" Sirius dashed up and playfully pushed James aside stacking his presents ontop of James's "Mines very useful James is just lovey dovey." Lily chuckled and Remus came up to her giving her a hug and a card. Peter just waved. "Come on Evans you've got to open them." Lily flashed James a delighted smile and sat on the couch. Everyone else had left and it was just her and the murauders. "So this is from James." She chuckled and looked at the parchment, she read the sweet love note and her face turned scarlet, "meet me at twelve, was on the back." Sirius chuckled slapping James's back as he had read the letter. Then lily undid the wrapping to reveal a promise ring, "girl friend?" Lily chuckled "yes," as small tears leaked out of her eyes and she threw herself into his arms. Remus smiled and Sirius slapped James's hand. Lily opened Remus's present next, it was a small moon necklace, "I love it.." she said as she slipped the necklace around her neck and slid it above her tie. Peter had given her a chocolate frog and Sirius's present was an awesome broom stick for her to try out, even though lily wasn't a big quidditch person, James was excited he could now teach her.
The first class began shortly after presents and they hurried their way Into potions, they had that class with the slytherin's. James turned lily the other direction as Severus waved at the ginger. Lily smiled waving back as she was pushed away. The rest of the day until noon went by slow. Instead of going to Lunch lily made her way to the room of requirement to see James. He smiled as he pulled lily onto his lap and kissed her. "I wanted to give you some kisses and tell you that I like being with you Evans," he said teasingly. Lily smiled, "why thank you potter but I'd like to eat lunch." Usually lily ate and conversed with some of the girls however today he sat with the murauders and it was like that from now on. The rest of Lily's day literally flew by, she learned how to play quidditch with James and at the end of the day she ended up in bed with James potter.
