It had been 4 hours. 4 hours. Calypso and Leo hadn't said a word to each other since they had left. Somehow, Leo got the feeling that Calypso was already missing Ogygia. After all, it had been her home for 3000 years. Dang! That was a long time.
'Hey, Calypso...you okay?' Leo asked.
'Yeah. I am a little nervous. I don't even remember how it was to meet more than one person at a time.' Calypso replied
'Hey! Sunshine, it's gonna be okay. My friends are good people.'
'And what about Percy? I remember you telling me that his girlfriend likes to judo flip people.'
Leo was going to reply when Festus made a creaking sound. 'Man! That doesn't sound good! Hey, buddy! You allriggghhhhhhh...'
Festus started descending downwards. Leo took hold of Calypso's hand and started searching for his sphere. But this time, they weren't far from the ground. Any moment now they would hit it. Leo didn't even have time to think. 5 seconds to impact. 'Calypso! Hold my hand tightly'. Three seconds to impact. 'This is it! Goodbye world! Leo closed his eyes and they hit the ground.
But wait. This was weird. The ground didn't seem hard. In fact, Leo and Calypso hadn't even hit the ground. When Leo opened his eyes, they were riding on something's back. Something huge. Wait a second; they were riding on a large body! The face turned around and grinned at them.
'Saved you. Didn't I, son?

They landed inside a huge room. It was more like a workshop. But somehow it seemed familiar to Leo. 'What is this place?' Calypso asked.
'It's a workshop. One of the best I have ever worked in, in fact.' Hephaestus said.
'Gods of Olympus! Is it really you, Hephaestus?' Calypso asked.
'Hey, calypso. Been a long time, hasn't it? I wasn't able to visit to give you company. But it seems somebody has already filled my place. Right, Leo?
'Dad! You saved our life.'
'Yeah well...I figured that you were too good to give away. And I had to repay you!'
'Repay me?'
'Yeah! You killed Gaia...remember?'
'I-I was successful?'
'Too much, I'm afraid son. I don't think she is ever gonna wake again.'
'And how is everyone else?'
'Dead worried! But enough of that...what do you think?' Hephaestus spread his arms indicating towards the room.
'What do I think about what?'
'Why, the room of course! What do you think? I know it's not as good as before but it was the best I could do!' Leo could not understand what his father meant. But as he looked around he noticed something. A drawing scribbled on a piece of paper. It was clearly drawn by a child. It showed a mother and a son standing inside a workshop. It was like the one he had made when he was younger. Or maybe it was the one he had made...
'This is my mom's workshop. The one.... You fixed it?' he asked his dad.
'Yeah well. I had to give you a gift and repay you.' Hephaestus replied.
'But-But...'
'No buts son. I will fix Festus and you and calypso are going to continue...okay? You need to visit everyone today and you have to stop them from separating both the camps again. Tell them that they have to reunite once again. And these are the king's orders all right? I'll take just ten minutes. You go and explore'
Leo started moving around. It wasn't bad. In fact, his dad had done a pretty good job. He entered the room where his mom...His dad hadn't done anything to it. Leo understood. Even he wouldn't want it to change.
'Leo, you're crying' Calypso said. Leo hadn't realized but a tear had slid down from his eyes. 'Leo, I know it is none of my business, but what is this place?'
'Well... this is my mother's place. We used to live here when I was small. Me and my mom. This was a small workshop where we used to work. I still remember the day when Gaia came. She burnt down my place. My mom died while I couldn't do anything but look.'
'I'm sorry. I never knew.'
'Yeah well! It's okay. Anyway I got my revenge. I killed that Princess Potty Sludge. That really was a relief. I think we should go back.'
Calypso and Leo hurried back to the workshop. 'Ah! Good. He is ready. He should be able to take you a long way now.'
'Uh..! Hephaestus? I was wondering that... I had a little problem. I was hoping you could help me in fixing it. Calypso asked Hephaestus.
'Problem? What problem?' Leo asked.
'Okay! I know not everyone asks for this but ... I wish to be mortal again. Pass this message to Lord Zeus.'
'Calypso... you-you don't have to do this.' Leo said.
'Please Leo! I am doing this for both of us.'
'Oh! Very well. I will give this message to Lord Zeus.' Hephaestus said.
'Thank you!'
'Now, if you must' Hephaestus pointed to Festus's back.
'Thanks dad.' Leo said. 'For everything.'
