Chapter 30

'Woah.'

The room was like a walk in wardrobe except fifty times bigger. On each wall (which was ten times the size of Piper's room) were ten to twelve shelves. All having outfits hanging to hangers. Piper could see dresses of all colors and sizes. She wasn't very fond of clothes, but after seeing this wardrobe, she felt like she should try on every dress.

In the room were cupboards and mirrors and shoe racks. Each shoe rack having at least forty pairs of heels and shoes. Mirrors were surrounded with lights. It all looked extremely beautiful.

'Mom, what is this?' Piper asked, bedazzled.

'This is my lair, actually that sounds like an ancient word. I would call it my office.'

'But, it is a wardrobe. How does it work as your office? What do you do in here?'

'Oh, clothes are just one fifth of this room. Rest is where I work on love stories. Each cupboard functions like a room. And not just one room, more than a thousand rooms, in each cupboard.'

'Really? So you work on love stories?'

'Yes.'

'Of everyone in the world?' Piper asked unbelievably.

'Oh no. I have my servants. More like my staff. They work on them too. You see, I believe in work division.'

'Oh.' Piper said. 'Can I see where you work on my and Jason's story?'

'No.' Aphrodite said surprised. 'Of course not. Nobody, except the staff has seen inside the cupboards. Actually, nobody had even been to this room. You are the first one after me.'

'Really?'

'Yes. I had kept it prepared for you to see it. Otherwise it is just a big mess.'

Piper laughed.

'What? Folding so many clothes is tough, even by magic!' Aphrodite said offended.

'Sorry,' Piper said grinning, 'It is awesome. Really. And the fact that no one has ever seen it before makes it even more cool.'

'Thanks.' Aphrodite said, hugging Piper.

'Now, let's get back.' Aphrodite said.

'No, I need to see the wardrobe!'

'Some other time, kid. Now, Zeus is waiting. And, believe me; you do not want to see him cross.' Aphrodite clicked her fingers and they found them standing with everyone else.
