'Remember, Calypso' Hermes said all of a sudden (trying to make small talk), 'when I used to visit you in the beginning, you would put mud all over your face and dress...?'

Calypso nodded, grinning.

'Really?' Thalia asked. 'Why?

'Well...' Calypso began, 'I didn't want him to fall in love with me. I know that sounds a little proud and mighty,' She laughed, 'But, I knew that if Gods can fall in love with so many mortals, they could, by mistake, fall in love with me. And believe me, I did not want that to happen. I didn't want to be in the bad books of the Gods again. But, that was in the beginning...'

'Well,' Leo said. 'That's smart.'

'I know. With great hotness comes great responsibility.' Calypso said very sweetly, yet with a smug smile. Everyone on the table burst laughing. All the Gods, even Persephone; who had stayed quiet after her argument with Annabeth.

'Well, Leo Valdez,' Piper said laughing, 'You have got competition in humor. Don't let Calypso take over.'
