Chapter 5

I saw him and he wasn't alone. The same girl that I saw him with the other day, was right there. I already knew who she was. She was his girlfriend. She was gorgeous. She had deep blue eyes and wavy blonde hair. She had a casual dress on with boots.

They looked like they were arguing. I only heard one thing as I stormed off with my friends. I heard Darren say something that shocked me, and I knew he was hurting inside from the way that he said it.

He said; "That doesn't mean you go off and fuck someone else!"

The girl was crying by now. Jake and Stefanie were so shocked and we just needed to get away. We walked for about five minutes, shocked at what we had seen.

We got into Pizza Pizza. First we ordered. I ordered what I usually get; pepperoni and a can of coke. We sat down and started talking.

"Was that the new kid outside? What's his name... Darren Jones?"Jake asked.

I nodded and kept on eating. I was so surprised.

"I feel bad for him. It looks like his girlfriend is a big fat whore." Stefanie said.

"Yeah. She's hot though."Jake chuckled while saying this.

Stefanie gave him a hard punch in the shoulder and I'm pretty sure it gave him a bruise.

"Anyways, why were u sent to the office Alex?"

I finished chewing the chunk of pizza I had in my mouth before saying anything.

"I was just asking Darren something in math. It was so funny that I couldn't keep myself from laughing and so we got into trouble"

"Oh.. did the Principal care?" Stefanie asked.

"No he just said it was a warning and that next time he would call our parents"

We talked for about ten more minutes and headed out. We went into starbucks and I ordered a tall chocolate chip frapp. They were the best.

We headed out towards the school. It was kind of hot outside, but there was a little bit of wind. Once we got into the school, I headed out for language with Jake. It was the only class that we both had together. Stefanie headed for her class and we agreed to meet here after school to catch the bus.

In language, we read an article and answered a bunch of questions. I hated this class, because Mrs. Williams always gave us a bunch of work.

The day went by pretty quickly. I met up with Stefanie and Jake, and we headed for the bus. I told them that I couldn't hang out because of the homework that I had, and got home.

I said hi to my dad, reassuring him that it was me who had just walked into the house and headed for my room.

I plopped on my bed and took out my journal.

I wrote;

Dear journal,

Today was a weird day. Me and Darren had a real conversation and it wasn't awkward at all. He's so nice. Today I learned about how he really was. His girlfriend is so mean to him. He took responsibility for what happened in math class. I know know why he always missing history. He goes to hang out with his horrible girlfriend. I need to get closer to him. There's a lot I still dont know. Hopefully i'll find out more about him.

I finished writing in my journal and did my homework. I ate dinner, took a bath and got to bed. I couldnt sleep at the thoughts of Darren. He was so mysterious, but everyday I learned something new about him. I wanted to know everything about him. And i would try to get closer to him
