" OK! ALEX! Your turn!" Stefanie yelled.

" ok... Umm... DARREN!" I said.

He turned to me and I blushed a little. I couldn't believe what I was about to ask him.

"Are you a virgin?" I muttered.

I said this in a very weird way. It was not a question I normally asked people, of course. I mean why did I want to know so badly? He probably was...

Everyone looked at him and you could see he was embarrassed.

"umm... NO" he said.

No one looked surprised or shocked. I was the only virgin in the room and I don't know why, but this made me have a gut feeling.

"Ok. Darren your turn!" I said after listening to his answer. This answer made me feel a little bad and sad. Why did I care so much? I mean.... We are old enough. I don't know why maybe I had this feeling that he would wait for the right girl. Maybe he already had the right girl.... That girlfriend of his. I didn't know. His life seemed complicated.

When it was Darrens turn, he asked Stefanie about her first crush. After a while of playing, Darren decided to go home. He said he was tired and just wanted to relax and take a nap. Me and Stefanie stayed at Jake's for a little bit longer.

"Alex! I know who you really like..." Stefanie said.

I quickly turned around and came back after zoning out. Did Stefanie really know who I truly liked? I mean... She could read me like a book.

"Yes... I told you. I like Jesse."

"No. Jesse is not your type."

"What do you mean?"

This was true. Jesse was way out of my league. I mean even though he was really sweet, I would only see him as a friend. I could never picture me and him dating.

"What I mean.... IS THAT YOU LIKE DARREN!" she screamed so loud.

"SHUSH! No I don't..." I said.

I felt myself blush a little. Jake was in the bathroom and I really didn't want him hearing this. As soon as I thought that, I didn't notice that Jake was coming out of the bathroom.

"You like WHO?" he said.

"NO ONE!"

I hid my face. I always turned red as a tomatoe and I didn't want Jake seeing this.

"SHE LIKES DARREN!" Stefanie said.

" I NEVER SAID THAT!"

"OH COME ON! It's obvious." Jake said.

Was it really that obvious. I mean I didn't even know if I really did like him.

"Really? Is it really that obvious?!"

" I KNEW IT!" Jake and Stefanie quickly said before laughing so hard.

"Ok... Maybe. But you can't tell anyone! I mean I don't even know if I really do." I said.

I could trust Jake and Stefanie. They were my best friends. But, sometimes they could make it obvious without trying to spill anything.

We talked for about 1 hour after. I told them about what I felt towards Darren and my feelings and thoughts. It felt really good letting this all out. All these feelings I've been holding in to my best friends.

I walked back home and thought. I thought so hard that I felt like my brain was going to explode. I didn't know why, but I felt Darren was different. I felt like he is different from all the other guys. Something about him.

This day I figured out that I really did like Darren. After all these days of trying to figure out what I had been feeling.... I now know that I really like Darren.
