Chapter One- The Talk

"So, what do you do for a living?" asked Eleanor forgetting that Stella was only ten years old.

"Huh?" questioned Stella, looking up at Eleanor with a confused face.

"Oh right, you're only a child, my bad" chuckled Eleanor, "How's everything at home?"

"Everything's great" gushed Stella.

Eleanor held onto Stella's hand while they walked towards the ice cream parlour.

As they arrived at the ice cream parlour and ordered their ice cream, they took a seat on one of the stools.

"How's your dad?" asked Eleanor wanting to know how's her love of life doing.

"He's good" responded back Stella, "He is an awesome dad."

"Really now, has he told you about his past girlfriends?"

"No, he said he didn't have any girlfriends and that mum was his only girlfriend and best friend"

"Oh really now?"

"Yeah, he said that him and mum were primary school best friends and that when they were growing up they loved each other but were to scared to tell each other that they loved each other" grinned Stella remembering when her father told her his and her mother's love story.

"Oh, anyway, do you think you could tell me where you live for I could come visit you sometime and tell me your dad's and mum's phone number"

"I don't know Eleanor, I only met you one time and today"

"I know who you are because I'm a teacher at your school"

"Wait! Your Ms. Calder! Right? My friends, James and Grace have you. I can't believe I haven't seen you in school!"

"Yes, I'm Ms. Calder"

"Alright then" Stella said trusting Eleanor because she was a teacher at her school. Stella gave her house address and her parents phone numbers, that she had already writing just in case.

"Can I borrow your phone to call my dad?"

"Sure dear"

"How was your day with Grace?" questioned Dakota as she served Stella pasta and steamed vegetables, "You called your dad today, didn't you?"

"It was fun, her mum bought us ice cream" replied back Stella, "I did call dad to tell him that Grace's mum was taking me back home and that he didn't need to pick me up."

"Tomorrow you are visiting grandmother Victoria, grandfather David, your uncle Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and your aunt Harper" said Dakota smiling knowing that Stella loved visiting her mother's family.
