A/n: The readers age in the one-shot is around 20-23, although the reader looks to be in her/his mid teens.

You were currently in Japan to help with the Kira case. You were new to the police force, but you are very good at what you do. You are very intelligent and have caught criminals with very little leads to go on. Your young looks and innocent face help you easily be around people without them thanking of you being suspicious, let alone a member of the police. Honestly, you didn't mind when Kira was killing criminals.

You actually supported her or him on that, but when she or he started killing innocent people, you knew he had to be stopped. You approached the hotel door and knocked. Mr. Yagami answered the door and looked at you confused.

"I'm sorry. I think you have the wrong room." Mr. Yagami said.

L looked around Yagami to see who you were. His eyes went wide and a small smile came onto his face.

"No, this is the right room. Please come in." L said, motioning for you to enter.

Mr. Yagami looked confused, but moved out of the way and let you in. L sat in his chair and motioned for you to sit on the couch with the other police members. They all looked at you confused as Mr. Yagami.

"This is detective (Name), (Reader)'s going to help us find Kira." L said, taking a bite of strawberry cake.

"Ruzaki, I don't mean any disrespect, but isn't (Y/n) a little young? I mean (Y/n) doesn't look older than sixteen." Matsuda ask.

"That's the point. (Reader) looks young and people won't suspect (Y/n) to be part of the police force. (Y/n) is very intelligent...I might even say more than me." L replied, reaching into a bag and pulling out a folder. "This is the evidence we have gathered so far."

You took the folder and read through them. After a few minutes you handed them back to L. They all looked at you with curiosity.

"Based on the leads, I would say Kira is a student. Since she or he hasn't been caught already they must be very intelligent. She or he has managed to get information that's only available to the police, so she or he has a way to easily get that information. I'm guessing Kira would have to have a family member in the police force. Right now my suspect is Light Yagami." You explain.

"What is with everyone suspecting my son as Kira! He's not Kira I tell you!" Mr. Yagami yelled, standing up.

"Listen, I never said he was. I'm saying that the evidence is pointing towards him. As you know, L has been suspecting Light. If I find the evidence I need that Light isn't Kira, I will erase him as a suspect and so will L." You reply.
