I didn't go to school for the rest of the week. I couldn't see him. Cecily, Isabelle, and Clary had been texting me asking why I wasn't at school, and I had told them I was sick. Will didn't text me once, but I was grateful. We needed separation. I woke up on Saturday morning, feeling horrible. I knew that on Monday I would have to go to school. I was starting to regret going to school more and more. I got out of bed, and got ready, and walked downstairs.

I walked into kitchen, and froze. Will, Jace, Cecily, Clary, Isabelle, Gabriel, Simon, and Alec were all sitting at the kitchen table. Will stood up as soon as he saw me, and we both stared at each other for a moment. All I could see was him, no one else. Eventually, Will noticed that everyone was staring at him, and sat down, looking a bit embarrassed.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked, surprised.

"Well, Jace wanted to come eat your mom's pancakes." Cecily rolled her eyes at her cousin. "But we were all worried about you. You didn't come to school all week."

"Yeah, I wasn't feeling too great." I mumbled, taking a seat across from Will.

"I'm throwing a party tonight, and we wanted to know if you wanted to come." Isabelle asked.

"You guys sure throw a lot of parties." I replied, and then sighed. "I don't know, I don't really feel like it."

"Come." Will said quietly. "It'll be fun."

I looked up at him, and a pang went through me. Why did he always have to look so beautiful? It was unfair.

"Okay." I gave in. "I'll come."

"Yay!" Isabelle exclaimed.

After all the boys were finished eating, we all went to my basement and sat down. I sat in between Gabriel and Alec, and across from Will. I was surprised that he didn't look freaked out looking at me. I mean, I was a witch, didn't that weird him out? We all started to talk, but Will's eyes never left me. Eventually, it started to become a bit irritating, and I got an idea.

Can you please stop staring at me. I said inside his head.

Will's eyes almost flew out of his head, and he sat up straight.

Tessa? He asked. Are you actually in my head?

Yup. I'm afraid about what I'll see. I smiled slightly.

Will smirked, and an image rose up in his head. It was of him and I on um "that night". I blushed.

Can you not. I said.

Sorry Tess, couldn't help myself. Will grinned.

I only rolled my eyes and shook my head. I noticed that everyone one else was staring at us.

"What are you two doing?" Clary asked, looking confused.

"Nothing." I replied casually.

She only raised an eyebrow at us, but didn't press any further. I looked back over at Will, who was smirking at me.

Do more magic. His voice was in my head again.

I'm actually not even supposed to do any here in the human world. I replied.

Please Tess. He batted his eyelashes at me.

I sighed in defeat, and waved my hand, and Jace abruptly stopped talking mid-sentence, freezing. In fact, everyone was frozen except Will and I.

"No fucking way, you froze time!" Will exclaimed.

"Yup." I smiled, amused.

"Will they know you've stopped time?" Will asked, starting to re-arrange Jace.

"No, it'll be like it never even happened." I replied.

"No way." Will said, sticking Jace's finger up his nose.

"What are you doing?" I chuckled.

"Giving Jace what he deserves." He said.

"Why? What'd he do?" I asked, laughing.

"He threw a mouse trap at me." Will spoke casually.

"Why would he do that?" I laughed.

"Because he's a dick, sometimes." Will replied, stepping away from Jace.

He sat back down and looked at me expectantly. I waved my hand, and I unfroze time. Jace started talking again, but then punched himself in the face, while his finger was up his nose. He shouted in pain, while Will howled with laughter.

"What the hell? Why'd you just punch yourself in the face?" Isabelle asked, looking weirded out.

"I -- I -- I don't know!" Jace exclaimed, recovering.

"Idiot." Will smirked, and then winked at me.

I only chuckled, and blushed slightly. Everyone eyed us suspiciously, and we both only shrugged. About an hour later I went up to go get snacks, and Will said he would help. We both walked into my kitchen, and I started to dig through the cupboards.

"Can't you just make the food you want with magic?" Will asked.

I shrugged. "Yeah, I don't know I just don't like doing that. Well, not all the time."

He whistled. "I'd kill to be one of you."

I grinned. "It's pretty amazing."

Will then sighed. "It makes me understand why you don't want to give it up."

My smile disappeared, and I turned around to face him. He was leaning against the counter, a little bit away from me.

"Will..." I whispered.

"You don't have to say anything, Tessa." He said. "I understand."

My eyes started to well with tears, and he walked up to me.

"Please don't cry, Tess." Will spoke softly, putting his hand on my cheek.

His words made a tear fall down my cheek, and Will hugged me. I put my arms around his neck, and held him tightly. God, how was I going to leave him? I had never met anyone like him, and even if I did a hundred years down the road, they would never be Will. We pulled away from each other.

"I lo--" Will started.

"Don't say it." I cut him off, whispering. "It's too hard."

He only nodded, and then I was in his arms again. He held me tightly, and tried to cherish the feeling of him touching. Will and I stayed like that for a long time.
