Renessmee Pov

The window in my room was slightly ajar, giving the slight breeze in the room. The chilliness moved my hair out of my face- almost enhancing and showing the clear tears that slid down my face for no one but myself to see in the mirror that showed a girl that I barely recognized. The window in the bathroom sent chills through my being, yet I wanted the coldness as being cold was the closest thing that I could get to the temperature of my father; cold yet warm in the inside.

I moved the back of my hand across my cheek, the way a window wiper smeared rain on a windshield, to stop the tears from soaking my sweater that I put on..... for the third time today. I walked out of my bathroom door and moved the covers down on my bed; wrapping myself in a cocoon of blankets. A sob was climbed its way up my throat, the way a monkey climbed skilfully up trees; I moved my knees to my chest and buried my head halfway.

A light knock echoed in the eerie silent room- minus the tears and the sobs that controlled my every being- and I buried myself deeper into the depths of my blankets, wishing that I too can dissappear. There was a nagging pain that felt as if someone began stabbing daggers into my heart, and it is because of this pain that I can not even bare to move, bare to even think of anything that didn’t include my father.

My father.

He’s gone. Never coming back. A smile that I will never see and a voice that I will never see.

A sob broke free and fresh tears steamed down my face freely and I didn’t bother to use the cloth that rest against my wrist to wipe them away. I squeezed my eyes shut, the tears went around my eyelids, and fell down slowly against my angular jaw. I tightened my grip on my pillow, holding it the way I used to hold myself against my fathers torso; but it was just a soft texture that could never give the comfort that my father could bring. My ears turned up against the blankets that I’ve enveloped myself in, and I heard the golden door knob turn slightly- the squeakiness of it as silent as the swoosh of waves in the lake by the house in comparison to my sobbing- but stop halfway; it was locked.

“Just go away...” I heaved into my tear soaked pillow as more tears followed out of my eyelids; almost as if the pillow was a sponge that soaked up all of my tears. My body shook, as a tidal waves of tears and emotions streamed from my eyes, and I no longer had the will to speak without it being layered over with my cries.

“Renessmee, please it’s me,” I heard creaking on my door; Joseph had slid down my door and sat with his back against it. “Please Renessmee, let me in; let me be there to comfort you, please.”

I sniffled and slowly unwrapped myself from my cocoon of blankets. My body was feeble, and most of the time I could barely tell whether or not my legs could carry me any farther than the bathroom that was a mere three feet away from my bed.

My shoulders slumped forward, almost an act of defeat in showing that the pain and loss of my father had won, and that I did not know if  I was able to get back up again.I ran my hands down my door, my teary, blurry eyes stared down at the locked golden knob.
