Bella's Pov
Perhaps I am overlooking into things, but I felt it, deep in my gut, that I was not overlooking things; all of it didn't need overlooking, for it were in plain sight. My arm started to shake, but no matter how many times it did, it did not shake the evidence away from my sight. This was all real and was never going to leave me.
Something is terribly wrong, but this is only one piece of evidence that something is indeed wrong. I knew that hunch I felt when I ran into the main house was something not to be forgotten. But then I had made myself forget because I wanted to live my life in peace, but there is no peace in my life.
It is all a great war after war.
" Love, do you know who the license plate belongs to?" Edward questioned as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders.
I cannot inform him of what I believe it says. It will frighten him more than the time that I had almost lost my frail human life because of a newborn army and when I had death come for me when I gave birth to Renessmee. He does not need to know from me, but in time I believe that he will find out whatever there is untold. The license plate was forever burned in my mind, just like the charm bracelet that I know I have burnt long before yesterday. And so this time I am following my hunches and not speaking to a soul of what swarms my head.
" No, it must not be local." Since becoming a vampire I have increased my lying skills. I never knew when I may need them to be perfected, and this is a time where no errors should occur. As a human Edward often quoted that I were an open book; that my emotions were apparent on my face, but now I kept my face filled with sorrow and worry.
Sorrow for the fact that I could lose my daughter who can barely breathe on her own, and worry because I believe that great danger is ahead. This time the danger will be far too much to handle. We stand tall as if an Empire. Every empire falls, and soon we will crumble into nothing. But I must protect my family, even if it means losing my own life.
" I will go see Charlie for him to look at the buyer of this license plate. We will find out who this is and get through this." His impassive voice made me envision a life where our lives were not endangered. But there is something that he is wrong on. Together we will not get through this because we are not meant to be. We have went from James to newborn vampires, the Volturi and last but not least the man I once thought of as a savior and a friend.
Jacob Black.
A savior because he had saved my life when I jumped off the cliff to see Edward at least one last time. If he didn't pull me out I would not be here today. A friend because he tried to make himself useful and mend to my broken heart. Even though there was no use in trying, he never gave up. Yet, now that I know of his true character. He is nothing but a vile person that rids in my past. No deed that he had done in the past can suffice for all the damage he had done to me as a whole. He is gone from this earth for good of mankind.
Scars are still on my body, and will not rid away from my once scarless skin, because our skin never heals the wounds. It never heals the emotional wounds, it never heals the physical wounds, and it never heals you to be who you once were. The scars stays on our skin as a reminder, as like Jasper when he fought newborn armies. He felt pain from each bite the cut through him, just like I do when something begs to differ my eternity with Edward Cullen.
