Dylan’s POV

After that night with my bestfriend, Angelo… hindi na nawala sa isip ko yung tinanong ni Louis saken.

I don’t wanna doubt him but he seems to know something.

“Pano kapag nalaman mo na yung totoo at kaya pala hindi sinasabi ni Sophia yun kasi alam niyang maaari itong makasira sa relasyon niyo? Pano kung pinuprotektahan niya lang pala yung relasyon niyo bilang mag-asawa kasi mahal ka na pala niya? Would you still want to know the truth? Kahit na malaman mong yung taong yun eh yung parehong tao na sobrang pinagkakatiwalaan mo ngayon?”

He wouldn’t come up with that kind of question naman siguro kung wala siyang alam di ba? I know Louis is smart but you can’t blame me if I doubted him. At the first place, kaibigan ni Beatrice si Sophia… so malamang sa malamang, kilala din nila si Sophia.

I know there’s something wrong and they’re just keeping the genie in the bottle but I have to let that genie go out of his comfort zone and find out the truth.

We go back to our normal lives.

Naging busy ulit kami ni Sophia sa business and for the second time, she asked me out for lunch. Siguro nga natututunan na niya akong mahalin pero it’s not enough. May kulang pa din. May something pa din.

I asked her to eat in a restaurant I saw malapit dito sa hotel.

“Are you sure, you want to eat here? Baka hindi mo magustuhan dito.” tanong ni Sophia.

“Yes, I wanna try here. Matagal ko na ding nakikita to and mukha namang maraming kumakaen. Siguro, it’s worth the try.”

“Okay. Hindi pa din naman ako nakakakain dyan eh. I only tried their coffee and pastries before.”

“Yun naman pala eh. Let’s go.” Sabi ko tas pumasok na kami.

Binigyan kami agad ng table for two and inabutan kami ng menu. I can say that the service is quite good and maraming customers that time so masarap siguro talaga dito.

“You must’ve been tired.” Sabi niya saken.

“Not really. Ikaw ba?” tanong ko.

“Nope. Andyan ka naman para tulungan ako eh. Thank you.”

“Wala yun. That’s my duty as your husband.” Sabi ko tas nagsmile siya.

“Uhm, I’ll just go to the comfort room. I’ll be right back in a minute.” Paalam niya.

“Sure.” Sabi ko tas umalis na siya para magCR.

After a minute, lumabas na siya ng CR pero may humarang sa kanya na isang matanda. She looks familiar. They hugged each other at mukhang close sila. Sino kaya siya? Maya maya, nakita ko siyang nagpaalam sa matanda tas bumalik na siya sa table namin.

“Who’s that old lady?”

“Oh… that was my Lola.”

“Lola? Lola mo may ari nito?”

“No. Sa kanila lang ako lumaki pero simula nung kinuha na ako nina Mama Rosa, hindi na kami nagkita. But we have met after 10 years. Siguro 23 years old ako nun.”
