"Hey girl. Whatcha doing back here today?" Dilly asked me as he walked around the bar. It was slow but it usually was during the day. "Oh. Nicki didn't tell you? Guess she needed me to cover or something. Lucy had the kids so I told her I could for a little bit." "Alright well I can handle it from here if you want. I'm sure Hazard will be stealing you from me soon anyways." As if on cue Hazard walked in. Just looking at him decked out in his leather, hair rustled from his ride, made me want to jump his bones. It took three days before we came up for air the last time. "Speak of the devil! Prez." "Hey Dally. Why the hell do you have my girl working on a Tuesday afternoon?" "Oh relax! Nicki had an errand. Your mother has the kids. Although I would have thought she would have dropped them by by now." Hazard looked taken back for a moment. "She hasn't made it here? I saw her car leaving the compound as I was coming in." My stomach sank with a dreadful feeling. "Maybe they forgot something and turned back," Dally offered. Hazard pulled out his cell and dialed his mother. "No answer. Dally call Dante. We're going to check it out." I rushed around the bar following Hazard to the parking lot. Dread filling my stomach when I heard chirping from behind the dumpsters. "Hazard! Over there." Lucy was out cold on the ground, her cellphone beeping. Melody was gagged and tied beside her. I quickly untied the ropes binding her and took off the gag. "Melody honey. What happened? Where's Cade?" "She took him!!! She's going to give him to Vega! You have to stop her!" "Who has him Melody? Who took Cade?" "The blonde girl, Nicki."
