Finding Roza

Chapter 6- Seattle

*Rose's POV*

I frantically struggled against my restraints, despite the pain in my ribs. I'm not going to allow myself to be turned into one of those monsters. It seemed like the more I pulled on the ropes the tighter they got. After another five minutes of failing I gave up with a groan. I was exhausted and my whole body was aching. I never thought I would say this but I wish I was back at the academy.

The car came to an abrupt stop causing me to go flying to the back of the trunk and I cried out. A few moments of silence passed and I finally slipped my hands through the rope then untied my legs. I felt around in the dark and found a tire iron, perfect. Finally I heard them open their car doors and I concentrated on the bond, needing to make sure Lissa sees my surroundings when I escape.

Right as I'm about to raise the tire iron above my head I see Dimitri through Lissa's eyes. His hair was a mess and he looked like he hadn't slept in the last two days.

"This is all my fault I never should have left her. If anything happens to her I swear I'll kill Kirova. That stupid witch tricked me!" He screamed and punched the wall, causing his knuckles to bleed. I dropped the tire iron and covered my mouth as he continuously hit the wall. Christian eventually grabbed his arm and I thought for a second Dimitri would hit him.

"Quit blaming yourself that's not going to help us find Rose. She needs you right now." Christian said and Dimitri slowly dropped his arm then sat down, putting his head in his hands.

"Lissa." I whispered as I let her see through my eyes.

She gasped with excitement. "Rose?" Dimitri's head shot up at the mention of my name. "Oh Rose I'm so sorry! I promise we'll get you back. Where are you?"

I sighed. "I wish, do you think you could look around for something when they open the trunk?" She nodded and I heard the guards voices get louder as they approached the back of the car. "Get ready." Within a half second light was blinding me. Except it wasn't sunlight.

"Uh oh." Lissa whispered. The Strigoi had parked inside some old abandoned building it must be daytime outside. "What do we do Rose? There's no signs or anything it's just empty!"? Panic was evident in her voice but I stayed quiet.

"Looks like she got out of her restraints." One of the Strigoi grunted and I smiled innocently then carefully climbed out of the trunk. "If you try any funny business..." My arm was twisted behind my back and I grunted in pain. "I'll snap your arm like a twig. Come on!" He shoved me forward and I frantically looked around for some kind of clue as to where we were.

"It's to sunny in Seattle. Why can't the days be shorter I'm hungry?" The Strigoi behind me grumbled and I smiled. Thanks for helping me out dude.

"You stupid idiot you're not supposed to tell her where we are! She has the bond remembe-" We stopped walking and the Strigoi looked into my eyes and noticed the yellow shade they turn when I'm in mind link. "Damn it!" Before I could even register anything else I felt my body go limp in the Strigoi's arms.

"Kole take her downstairs and chain her up. Make sure she doesn't escape this time!" A familiar voice hissed. My head was spinning as Kole turned and walked down a dark hallway then two sets of stairs. He put me down rather harshly but I couldn't even cry out from the pain I was so numb. Cold metal was attached to each of my wrists and locked with a key.

"There. I'd like to see you escape those. Have fun Rose the boss has some really great games for you to play." Kole laughed and walked back up the stairs and slammed a door behind him.

Each of my limps felt like they weighed at least a ton and my head was pounding. "Don't worry Rose we're going to find you. Just hang on please for me." Lissa whispered and I smiled. There's no way they'd be able to find me there had to be tons of abandoned buildings in Seattle. I, Rose Hathaway, am going to die.
